Chapter 24: Reunited

~Skipping ahead a few years~
~Azamuku's P.O.V.~

"GAARA!!!!" I called out, bursting through the front door. "Upstairs." Temari said, walking passed us to head outside. "Dammit. Now you're here too? Can my day get any weirder?" Kankuro said, groaning. Sasuke jumped onto the back of the couch and sat there. "I'm gonna go find Gaara." I said, walking upstairs. "Gaara? You up here?" I called. "Yeah. As usual." He replied. I went up to him and hugged him, clearly interrupting his scenic view. "It feels great to be here, again." I said, smiling.

"Come into any trouble on your way over?" He asked me. "Nope. Nothing I couldn't handle." I said. He gave a slight nod then turned and sighed. "Gaara. You don't have to hide anymore. I'm here. And I'm not going anywhere." I said. He clenched his hands into fists and shook. I closed his door and waked back over to him. "Gaara." I said. Before I could get anything else out, he had fallen to his knees and broke down in tears. "I've missed you so much. I haven't been able to sleep. I haven't been able to function. Only thing on my mind was kill, kill, kill." He said, sobbing.

I looked at him and for that moment, I saw the child I grew up with. "Big brother..." I said with a sigh. I sat in front of him and pulled him to my chest. "I don't want to be a killer! I want to be normal!" He said between sobs. "Why be normal? It's never any fun. You should be you. And if that means being how you are daily, then so be it. But I'll love you no matter who you are." I said.

His crying was quickly over as he stood back up again, helping me up. "I love you too, Muku." He said. "Can we get some clothes for me, now? It's hot and I'm completely ill prepared." I asked, groaning. He nodded and wiped his eyes quickly. I smiled and opened the door once more to hear Kankuro and Sasuke in a yelling match. "Oh boy... Can we not?" I asked myself. I walked downstairs and over to the shouting pair.

"SHE'S YOUR SISTER!" Sasuke shouted. "NOT BY RELATION OF ANY SORT EXCEPT FRIENDSHIP!" Kankuro shouted back. "Can you both shut up?" I asked, rubbing my temples. They quieted down quick giving me my time to speak. "I need clothes. Gaara is going to take me out for them. Temari will be back soon. Behave!" I said as I glared.

"I will see you both when I come back." I said,walking out the door and shutting it behind me. "Alright. What's changed?" Iasked. "Nothing. I'm Kazekage, now, but other than that, it's still boring and plain." He said, walking next to me. I nodded as we walked around the village.    

Sorry they've been so terrible lately. Between working full time and going to school full time, I'm drained. Anyway. Enjoy!
