"You weren't kidding..." Naruto said, staring at the forest before us. "No. This is our final exam. I know how this works. We're creating a password right now." Azamuku said. "What for?" Sakura asked. "I've watched last year's students. It was a bloody mess. People will be replicating us. If we are to get separated, we are to NOT get comfy with each other until we repeat the password." She said. "Alright. What's this password?" Naruto asked. "A poem called 'Ninki'. When I ask for it, here's what you respond..." She said.
"We thrive in the chaos of the enemy tide. Quiet Shinobi don't need dens to hide. Our only concern is to watch and wait until the enemy lowers the gate." I said along with her. "What!? How am I going to remember that!?" Naruto shouted. "It's brilliant." I thought. "You know exactly why I chose it." I heard. I looked at her to see her grinning at me. "You have 5 days from the time this exam starts. You all have your scrolls. Once those gates open, your exam begins." Anko shouted. Everyone got into position. "Your exam begins..." She started. "NOW!" She shouted as the gates opened. We were some of the first to get through, giving us a head start.
"Alright. The three of you. Listen up. This is a team effort. If one of us goes down, we all fail. Sakura. You're brilliant in intelligence. It's your job to keep us updated on anything you see, hear, or find. Naruto. You may not know it, but you're incredible at strength. I need you to focus as hard as you can when we are engaged in battle. Sasuke? You're speed caps almost anyone's here. I need you to work with Naruto. I'll work with Sakura. We got traps, you got combat. Should it arise that we are needed, we'll jump in. As well as you if we need you to help." Azamuku said. "Right!" We all chimed.
"If we're lucky, we'll catch a team or two that is willing to help us." I said, as we ran. "Heads up!" Sakura shouted. "Naruto! Jump!" She yelled at him. He obeyed without a second thought. "What was that for!?" He asked, looking back. "Tripwire." Sakura said, not making eye contact. "STOP!" Azamuku screamed, stopping dead in her tracks. Everyone skidded to a halt as she held her arms out.
"We're not alone." I said, looking around. "Sakura! Get down!" Azamuku shouted. Sakura dropped her entire body to the ground as a kunai flew by her head. "Already? Man. This is going to be tough." Naruto said. "Sasuke. Naruto. I can feel them. They're lower than we are. You can take care of them. When done, Sasuke, you know what to do. We'll be up ahead." Azamuku said. Naruto and I nodded and jumped away.
