Chapter 5

KELLIN'S POV
I trudged through the woods. The only thing I had found so far was a pigeon. I guess it's better than nothing.

Snap! I spun around to detect where the noise was coming from, my heart beating quickly. Yes, I could easily take out a group of walkers, piece of cake. It's just The guilt and the horror. I can't help but think that, they, those horrible brain eating monsters, were humans once, just like me.

I stood on my tip toes, trying to see ahead. I sighed when I saw nothing and turned to return back to 'camp'

Another noise made me shoot round. Was this a walker or an animal?

Cautiously, I slowly walked closer to the source of the sound. What I heard next made electricity run through my body.

Voices. Actual human voices.

And better, I recognised them. Well, one of them.

Vic Fuentes. My heart pounded in my chest and I started to run towards them.

He came into view and I suddenly stopped and stared for a second. I forgot how beautiful he was. His beautiful chocolate brown hair, with slight curls and the bottom, his hazel brown eyes that I could get lost in and his skin, His beautiful, tanned, Mexican skin.

I snapped out of my daze and ran as fast as possible, flinging myself into Vic and wrapping my arms around him.

He immediately tensed. I could feel his heart beating against his chest.

'Oh my god! Oh my god!' I whispered. He relaxed when he heard my voice.

Shit. I thought, he probably thought I was a walker or something.

I pulled away, slightly embarrassed. I could feel my cheeks going hot.

When he saw me, his face lit up and a massive smile spread across it.

We stood there, speaking for a couple of minutes, he seemed to be glad that there were other humans in my group.

Then I remembered.

'Vic..Fuentes!' I said loudly.
He looked at me, confused.
'Fuentes!' I repeated.
'Umm..yeah..' He said.
I smiled widely.
'You're gunna love this.' I smiled.
He frowned but followed me through the woods.

'How long left?' Jaime panted after about a 30 minute walk. Vic frowned at him. 'Really, 30 minutes. It's really not that bad.?' He said. I laughed, I was thinking the same thing.

'Only about 5 minutes.' I said, still smirking.

Vic caught up with me and left the rest at the back.

'Hi.' I said, slightly nervously. It felt weird just directly talking to him.

'Hi.' He said back.
I looked at him, but quickly turned my head back. I was scared that I'd do something stupid. Like say I love him.

'Can you tell me where we're going?' He asked.
I smiled. 'We're going back to our camp.'
He nodded. 'What am I going to love, though?' He asked.
'You'll see.' I smirked.

I could see the flickering of the campfire in the distance.
'We're nearly here!' I called out to the others, who were trudging along at the back.
I smiled at Vic, I couldn't wait to see his face.

He stopped to wait for the others to catch up, so I took the opportunity to run ahead.

'Mike!' I whispered. I looked at his sad face, starring into the flames.

'Mike, I found  something you might like.' I said, trying to hide a massive smile spreading across my face.

He looked at me suspiciously. I turned around to see Vic walking past our bags.

'Ta dah!' I said, and pointed to Vic.
He looked confused for a second and tried to look behind me.

I stepped out of his way. He shot up, eyes going wide.

'V-vic?' He stuttered. I looked over at vic. His head looked up to see who called his name. His reaction was similar, apart from he immediately burst into tears.

The two brothers ran at each other and flung their arms around each other.

'Oh my god, Mike!' Vic sobbed. I could see the smiles stretch across Jaime, Tony, and Alex's face when they finally caught up and saw what was going on.

They finally pulled away from each other and smiled.

'I thought you were dead.' Mike whispered to Vic.

'I thought you were.' Vic sobbed wrapping his arms around him again.

I motioned for them to sit down. I put down the pigeon on the floor.
'Is that everything?' Gabe, who had been sitting there quietly watching the whole thing, suddenly said. I nodded, sadly.
'It doesn't matter, better luck next time eh?' He said.
Tay walked back in just after.
'Ooh, new people.' She said, happily.
I smiled and nodded.
'Did you find any food?' I asked, crossing my fingers.
She sighed and shook her head.
'We found some.' Vic said, pulling out a few dead animals. 'There should be enough for everyone.' He said.

I smiled. 'Thankyou so much.' I said.

'So, any plans on what we're going to do with the WCF?' Tay asked.

'What does that mean?' Tony asked.
'She means the Walker controllers.' I said.
'Walker controllers?' Jaime asked.
'Umm, yeah, have you not heard about it?' Gabe asked.
They shook their heads.
Well shit.
'Umm.. well... I don't think you're going to take this well....' I said.

'How did you not know?' Tay blurted out.
'I guess, we have been living up a mountain for quite a while..' Alex said.

'So tell me, what's the WCF?' Vic asked.
