'Hell is so close to heaven...'

Chapter 17

VIC'S POV

I threw a few more bottles of water in my backpack before leaving the gas station, this time with two new friends. 

I looked at Mike and smiled. 'Tony makes you happy then?'

'Yeah.' He replied, with  a small smile. Only it seemed sad.

'Whats wrong?' I asked. He shook his head slowly and looked at the floor. I frowned and lifted his chin up with my fingers, seeing tears glaze in his eyes. 'Mike?' I asked. He sniffed slightly and shook his head again. 'It's nothing.' He whispered. 

'Mike Fuentes you tell me what's wrong right now.' I said sternly. He rolled his eyes.

'Nothing, i-its just I lost Hayley twice. I thought she was dead for the best part of like...3 months..and now I know for certain she is...gone...I'm scared the same will happen to Tony..'He whispered. 

I placed my hand on his shoulder. 'You shouldn't think like that. It will be okay.' I said. He nodded slightly, 'I couldn't bare to lose him, it would kill me.' 

'I know..' I whispered, wiping a tear from his cheek with my thumb.

Kellin walked over to us. 'Ready?' 

Mike and I nodded. I flung my backpack over my shoulder, said one last goodbye to this place and stepped out the door. 

Andy and Ashley were sat on the concrete floor next to the camper van, chatting. 

'Why haven't you got in, we're leaving.' I said, confused. Andy smiled and slowly got up.

'Well, you got here first, so it's only fair if you go in first, you know..get the good spots or something.' He said with a small chuckle. 

There were 2 bunk beds. Each could fit just about two people on each bunk. Two people would just have to sleep on the floor. The door shut and Gabe looked round. 'One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine and ten.' He said. He was making sure none of us were left behind.

Jaime and Alex were sharing a bunk. Kellin and I were too. Andy and Ashley were and Tony and Mike were. That left Tay and Gabe sleeping on the floor for tonight.

'I don't want to be awkward if you're not...' I said to Ashely. 'But are you and Andy a couple or something.' I asked, curiously. Ash smiled slightly. 'Yeah.' He whispered, looking over to his boyfriend who was talking to Jaime and Alex about Batman for some weird reason.

'So, where have you guys come from?' Ashley asked.

'San Diego.' I replied with a sad smile. Talking about my home town brought back memories of how Mike and I used to play in the streets together.

'Never been there, heard it's nice though.' Ash said. I smiled. 'It is, what about you?' I asked.

'LA.' He said with a smirk.

'You like cities then?' I asked. He nodded. 'Yeah, have great atmosphere to them, never get bored of LA.' 

'Watchoo two boys talking about?' Jaime said. He had obviously stopped talking to Andy.

'Just stuff, Ashley's from LA.' I said. Jaime nodded, 'Yeah, Andy told me.' 

'After talking about BatMan of course.' Ash said with a laugh.

'Hey, batman's cool okay? Andy said from the other bunk.

We all laughed, and thats what we did for the rest of the evening....

KELLIN'S POV

I sat in the passengers seat to give Gabe some company when driving. The sun was setting on the horizon, making the sky a beautiful light shade of pink, mixed with red and a deep orange color.

'Vic!' I called out, not wanting him to miss the beauty. 

He was here quicker then lightening. 

'What is it? Whats wrong?' He asked, panicked. I smiled and cupped his cheeks in my hands and pecking his lips.

'Look.' I whispered, pointing out the window. He gaze left mine as it flickered to the window. 'oh my god, it's beautiful!' He squealed. 'I know.' I smiled.

He sat on my lap for a while until the sunset went and we were driving in the pitch black. 

'Gabe you should probably rest now.' Vic said, climbing off my lap. Gabe simply yawned and nodded.

We walked down the small walkway and into the main sleeping area were everyone was still chatting quietly.

'We're going to bed now, long day tomorrow.' I said.

'Goodnight everyone.' Vic said.

Everyone muttered a quick goodnight and climbed into bed.

I lay by Vic's side, wondering what tomorrow will have in store for us...

I know this chapter was really short and bad but I've got writers block atm, Ive got an idea for the next chapter tho so stick around for that...eheheh....eheh.
