Chapter 2.

KELLIN'S POV

Tick.Tick.Tick. I'm not sure how much longer I can take of this fucking lesson. I stared out the window and was confused to see people running and screaming. I glanced at my watch. 30 minutes left. I rolled my eyes. First years and their stupid games.

Mrs Jackson snapped me out of my daze. 'Kellin.' She said bluntly. I sighed and nodded. 'Could you repeat what I just said?' She asked. The whole class turned to face me at the back. I rolled my eyes. She glared at me. 'Well?' She asked.

I sat there, not saying a word, my arms crossed. 'Listen!' She snapped and turned to face the blackboard. A few other students sniggered.

'Tut Tut. Naughty Kellin.' Ray mocked. I glared at him. 'Fuck off.' I muttered. Mrs Jackson spun around. 'Kellin! What did you just say to Ray!' She yelled.

I was usually the quiet one that didn't say anything. But something inside of me snapped. I didn't want to deal with this Bullshit.

I stood up. 'I said Fuck off! Okay! Oh no! Sorry, I shouldn't have said that!' I mocked. 'Well, you know what? Fuck you!' I screamed at her, picking up my backpack and storming out the classroom, ignoring her yells. I'm 17, I shouldn't be yelled at because I swore. Stupid teacher.

I walked down the corridor and spotted a boy running down it, tears falling down his cheeks. I knew him. I had a crush on him since my first year of high school. Vic Fuentes. I don't even think he new I existed. I never built up the guts to talk to him. 'Hey!' I called, wondering if he was okay.

I don't think he heard me, he ran into the bathroom and slammed the door. I sighed and ran my fingers through my hair. I was just about to walk into the canteen when I heard a scream coming from the field. Why were they out of class so early? I walked over to ask why they were out of lessons, when I realised, they weren't just playing. They were generally terrified of something.

I frowned, staring at the petrified kids who had tears streaming down their face. They screamed again and they all ran, apart from one, who stood there frozen to the spot, eyes wide open. I walked over to her. 'What is it?' I asked. She glanced at me and quickly looked back at the spot she was looking at before, whimpering slightly.

I turned to face what she was looking at. 'Shit! What the fuck!' I yelled. I stared at the creature. It's large round eyes popping out of its scratched, gray head. It had red splats all over it. 'What the hell is that!' I yelled, half knowing what it was but trying to deny it. This is ridiculous. Zombies don't exist. It looked up at us and started to hobble over. I stared at the girl who was frozen in terror. 'Run!' I yelled. She stood there, shaking. 'Go!' I yelled at her, shoving her slightly. She didn't hesitate before running this time.

I was about to follow her when I remembered. Vic. I know he doesn't even know who I am, but I couldn't live with myself if something happened to him. I ran back into the building. I sprinted over to the toilet he was in. The door was unlocked. He must have left. I looked in just in case.

The glass from the mirror was shattered and there was a small amount of blood on the floor. 'No.' I whispered, thinking the worst had happened. I shook my head. If they had got him, there would be more blood, right? I left quickly and ran into all the classrooms, getting them all out. No sign of Vic. I reached the last classroom and peered through the door. Thank God, Vic was there.

I burst through the door.

Mr Thomas looked confused. 'Mr Quinn?' He asked.

'Everyone out!' I yelled.

Everyone looked at me like I was mad. A loud scream echoed through out the building. I looked to my left. There was a zombie, or whatever the fuck these things are, hobbling down the corridor, latching onto a small boy.

I looked back in, starting to panic. They all looked a bit startled as well.

'It's not safe! Run! Go Go Go!' I yelled. No one else hesitated before getting their things and rushing out the classroom.

VIC'S POV

I grabbed my stuff and ran over to Mike. 'Whats going on?' I asked. He shrugged. 'I don't know, but whatever it i, It doesn't seem good.' He muttered. The guy who had told everyone to get out was waiting in the door way, making sure everyone was out.

I knew him. Kellin Quinn. He was my partner in PE on the first day of high school, he didn't say anything at all, he looked generally terrified of me and wouldn't take part in the activity. I shook the memory out of my head and carried on walking out of the classroom. As I did, something smashed through the window, making me scream.

'Quick!' Kellin screamed, shoving me out the door, into the crowded corridor. The last glimpse I got of the classroom was some sort of..thing.. climbing through the window. I was shook up and turned to face Mike who was being dragged a long by the crowd. I tried to grab his hand so I wouldn't lose him but I got dragged away by Tony and Jaime, my only friends that weren't my brother. 'Mike!' I yelled, pulling away from Tony's grip.

'Dude! We need to go!' Jaime yelled, over the sound of screams and shattering glass. I tugged away. 'Mike!' I screamed. I heard his voice call my name from the distance. I tried to pull through the crowd but a classroom door burst open and a dozen of these creatures poured out. 'What the hell!' I screamed. One had a massive gash in its throat and was bleeding everywhere. They weren't human, thats for sure. Maybe the used to be? I shook the thought out of my head. Zombies don't exist. I bought my self back into reality. 'Mike!' I screamed again. Jaime grabbed my wrist and started dragging me through the panicked students.

'We'll find Mike later, Okay?' Tony said, wiping a tear from my face whilst Jaime dragged me.

I let out a sob and pulled away from Jaime so I didn't slow him down, and started running as fast as my small legs could go, making sure Jaime and Tony followed.

I hate watching Horror films, I didn't want to live in one.
