Chapter 21

VIC'S POV
Did I believe him? I examined him. Shiny black hair, bright blue eyes. It has to be him..

'W-what?' I stuttered. His stone cold face softened, his lips curved upwards into a smile. 'W-where is he?' He asked. I shrugged. 'I-I don't know.. I was just looking for him.' I said. His smile faded again, 'if you're lying, you won't live to tell, okay?' He snapped. I nodded, wide eyed. I don't think he was lying...

'Vic? Vic are you there?' I heard a voice say. Kellin. 'Y-yeah, I'm in here!' I called, keeping my gaze on the armed man.

I stopped watching Kellin's apparent dad and watched as he ran through the isles of Walmart and flung his arms around me. 'Thank god, I had no idea where you were!' He whispered in my ear. I smiled and rubbed his back.

The man cleared his throat. I felt Kellin jump and pull back. He stood there for a second, examining the man. He frowned. 'D-do I know you?' He asked. The man smiled and stepped towards Kellin. 'Er Kells...' I said. He looked at me, a confused look on his face. 'I-I recognise you...' he said, stepping towards his dad.

The man had tears glazing in his eyes. 'Vic..who is this?' Kellin asked, eyeing me cautiously. 'Uhh, h-he...' I stuttered. The man sniffed, 'kells, my boy!' He exclaimed. Kellin frowned, 'w-what?' He said. Then something clicked, his eyes widened and he let out a loud gasp.

'N-no..' he whispered. He looked at me. I didn't know what to do or say. Would he be angry? Or would he be relieved? I guess I'd find out...

'D-dad?' Kellin stuttered. The man smiled, 'forgive me, Kellin.' He whispered. 'Dad!' Kellin screamed and ran into the mans arms, catching him off-guard and sending him stumbling back, only to find his feet again. He wrapped Kellin in his arms and stroked through his hair, continuously whispering 'I'm so sorry.'

I didn't know what else to do but watch. They pulled apart, Kellin had tears streaming down his face. 'W-where have you been?' He asked, his voice cracking.

His dad sighed, 'it's along story, I'll tell you later.' He whispered. Kellin nodded and hugged his dad once more before stepping back to stand with me again and gripping my hand in his. I squeezed his hand and smiled at him. Words couldn't describe how happy I was for him.

He pecked my lips quickly before turning around quickly, 'guys! Come here!' He yelled.

His dad stood there staring at us and our hands that were intertwined. Kellin noticed. His eyes showed pure fear and I could feel his body start to shake. He closed his eyes, quietly whispering 'please don't be like mom.' He repeated.

He only just met his dad again, if he found out that he was homophobic like his mom, everything would be ruined.

Kellin had tears streaming down his face by now. I pulled him into a quick hug, before pulling away again, to not make it too awkward.
'Please don't hate me.' He whispered to his dad. His dad frowned, 'why would I hate you.' He asked. Kellin laughed dryly, 'the same reasons mom hated me so much.' He said. 'I'm sure she didn't hate you.' He said. Kellin looked up at him, 'what?' He said, with a hint of amusement in his voice. 'Kellin.' I warned, not wanting them to fall out already.

'Am I missing something here..?' Kellin's dad asked. He shook his head and sighed, 'I'll tell you later.' His dad nodded slowly. 'Anyway, why would I hate you?' He asked. Kellin shifted awkwardly, 'err, coz I-I'm gay.' He squeaked awkwardly. His dad laughed, 'And?' He said. Kellin's eyes lit up again, 'you don't have a problem with that?' He asked. His dad smiled, 'of course not, son.'
Thank god for that...

Another man came running in, 'Jeuse!' He said, but stopped when he saw us.

'Yeah?' Kellin's dad, who we discovered was now called Jeuse said. 'Uh, I'm guessing you already know, but there are kids, like.. everywhere.' He said, he looked much younger than Jeuse. Like, late twenties.

'I am aware.' He said. The man nodded and looked at us. Jeuse smiled, 'Austin, I'd like you to meet my son.' He smiled, pointing to Kellin. Kellin smiled shyly, 'H-hi Austin.'

Austin marched over with a grin on his face and pulled Kellin into a tight hug. 'Hi Kellin, I've heard a lot about you!' He beamed. 'Y-you have?' He asked, hoarsely.
'Hey! I've just seen him for the first time in 13 years, please don't strangle him!' Jeuse said. Austin pulled away and smiled sheepishly. 'Sorry.' He said.

Kellin smiled at him again and walked back to my side. ' I thought you were on watch anyway, I mean, I guess it's a good thing you weren't otherwise I wouldnt have met Kellin and his friend? Boyfriend?' 'Boyfriend.' I confirmed. He smiled. 'I wouldn't have met Kellin and his boyfriend, but what the fuck were you doing?' He asked. Austin winced, 'Erm, well I got hungry so..' he started. 'What, you don't like apples?' Kellin laughed. Austin sighed. 'Not really no.'

Tay, mike and Alex came running in. 'Thank god you found him!' Mike said, sounding out of breath. 'I found him ages ago!' Kellin laughed. They only just realised Austin and kellin's dad surrounding us.

'Uhm, hi...' Alex said awkwardly. 'It's nice to see you have friends, son.' Jeuse smiled happily. 'W-wait, s-son?' Mike asked. Kellin smiled widely and nodded. Mike pulled him into a hug, 'I'm so happy for you.' He said.

'Dad?' Kellin asked. Jeuse nodded. 'Why do you have a random leaf tattooed on your arm?' He asked. His dad smiled, 'I used to have your moms name on my arm, but I obviously didn't want it anymore so instead of getting laser, I got it covered up.' He said. Kellin nodded. 'Have you got others?' Kellin asked, curiously. His dad nodded and turned his hand over to show his wrist which read 'Kellin Quinn' with a black heart next to it.

Kellin examined it, smiling. 'I got it the day after I left you.' He said with a smile, which then turned into a frown.
'I never should have left you kells.' He whispered. Kellin sighed, 'well, you're here now.'  Jeuse rolled his sleeve up to show many other tattoos on each arms, kellin examined them all, smiling, whilst his dad told him the meaning behind them all.

'Come on, let me meet your other friends..' Jeuse said.
