Chapter 9

KELLIN'S POV

I dared to look up at Vic, who was staring at me, wide-eyed. My heart was pounding in my chest. Did I actually just tell Vic I liked him?

I shook my head in disbelief. I'm a major fuck up. Well done Kellin.

We stood there, awkwardly in silence for a while. I was silently debating wether or not saying something would make it worse. I could still feel my heart thumping in my chest.

I took a deep breath.

'Look, Vic, I'm so sorry.. I-I didn't really want you finding out b-but, I dunno...I just couldn't keep it in for much longer. I c-cant really help how I feel, i've tried to deny it but whenever I'm around you I get this fuzzy feeling throughout me and I get butterflies in my stomach a-and...I'm sorry,' I said, looking at him, his eyes still staring at the ground, 'You probably hate me, I-i'm so sorry Vic, I really am I-It just kinda...' I stopped, Vic was looking at me with a massive frown on his face.

'P-please don't hate me.' I whispered, ignoring the tear rolling down my cheek.

He shook his head.

'Why would I hate you?' He asked, still frowning.

'C-coz, well...I like you...a lot...like a massive amount and I-I just think that you will ha-' Vic threw him self on me, his lips crashing against mine. I tensed up, shocked by his sudden movement, but then relaxed, kissing him back.

His lips were soft and kinda warm. My heart was racing, our lips moved perfectly together in unison. I ran my hands through his long and tangled hair, whilst he had his hands pinned on my waist, rubbing small circles with his thumbs.

He pulled away, our noses lightly brushing one another's.

'I've been hoping you'd tell me that.' He whispered.

I smiled and pulled him in for a hug, but cursing my self slightly. I told myself after half my friends died that I wouldn't grow attached to anyone, I couldn't go through losing a close one again. But I couldn't help it, He was special.

VIC'S POV

I looked at Kellin, smiling.

I heard someone clear their throat.

'Oh, Hi Tay..' I said awkwardly.

She smirked.

'Once you two love birds have finished sucking each others faces off, you can return to camp, we've set up by the stream for the night, but we're having a talk on what we're doing tomorrow.' She said.

I looked away, trying to hide my blushing face, I caught a glance of Kellin, whose cheeks had gone a light color of pink too.

Tay turned around and skipped back to camp, leaving us alone again. The thing I liked about her a lot was, even though she's lost a lot, she's always happy. I looked at Kellin and smirked.

'Better head back then.' I smiled, nodding towards 'camp.'

Kellin sighed and nodded. 'I like it when it's just the two of us.' He whispered.

I smiled. 'Same.'

-Camp-

'Took your time.' Gabe said, with a mischievous smirk on his face. 'Wont be to long before you're humping each other silly!' He exclaimed.

I couldn't help but snort with laughter. Kellin nudged me gently, frowning. 'Don't encourage him.' He said.
