'Smile for me...'

Chapter 16

KELLIN'S POV

Everyone was bursting with excitement. I haven't seen anyone so happy in ages. We practically ran to the gas station, panting and sweating as we reached it. 

It was rather large, probably the biggest we've came across so far. 

Just outside the door, was a small, blue, camper van. It may have been small, but it was surely big enough to fit us all in.

'Just one problem..' Vic said. We all turned to face him, waiting for him to carry on.

'Anyone know how to drive?' He asked.

I didn't think of that...

Everyone looked around, shaking their heads until Gabe stepped forward. 

'I was taking lessons before the apocalypse broke out.' He said. Relief hit me. 'So you can drive?' I asked. He nodded. 'Kinda.'

We rushed to the door and opened it.

I looked inside, almost drawling. Bars of chocolate, bags of chips, hot drink machines were spread around the room. No one had been in here, nothing had been touched. How did we get so lucky?

I immediately ran over to the chocolate section and shoved a bar in my mouth, only just getting the wrapper off in time.

'That's attractive.' Vic laughed. 

I shook my head. 'I don't care.' I said, my voice muffled with chocolate.

Tay grabbed her backpack and started filling it with supplies. 

'We stay here the night, then we leave tomorrow morning, okay?' Gabe said, we all nodded.

Tony, munching on a salt and vinegar chip walked over to me. 'Hows Vic doing?' He asked.

'Better, much better. His stitches looking good too.' I said. Tony nodded and smiled. 'Good.' He whispered and turned around, handing Mike a chip.

I wanted to stay in this Gas station forever.

The Next Morning..

VIC'S POV

I was awoken by a door shutting and muffled voices. Kellin and Tony were up, with a knife at the ready.

I immediately got up.

'What is it?' I whispered.

Kellin noticed me and put his finger to his lip, silencing me.

I nodded and went to stand next to them.

'Is it a walker?' I asked, as quietly as possible.

'I don't know.' He whispered.

'Is anyone here?' A low, husky voice came from the door.

Other Humans?!

Me, Kellin and Tony looked at each other, eyes widened.

'H-Hello?' Tony asked. 

I heard more whispering.

'Who is this?' I asked, half nervous, half excited.

'Whats going on?' A voice came from the floor. I looked down to see Mike staring up at me, a confused look on his face. I shook my head at him, as in to say 'don't worry'

'Who is this.' I repeated, slightly louder.

Silence.

Then,  'Andy.' Someone spoke.

'Andy Biersack.' The voice said.

Cautiously, I stepped out from behind the shelf, Knife still in hand.

I saw two men. One with jet black long hair, half shaved and bright blue eyes, he looked at least 6ft and the other had long brown hair, he was only slightly shorter then the other guy.

'Hi.' The guy with Black hair said, I'm guessing the one called Andy.

'Hi...' I whispered, still shocked to see other humans.

Everyone had woken up by now and were all peering out from behind the shelf.

'Uhh, we don't mean to intrude, w-we're just on our way to London and s-' The brown haired guy said.

'You're going to London too?' Mike said.

They nodded.

'You going?' Andy said. We all nodded, smiles on our face.

'Are you using the van?' Andy asked. We nodded again.

'Oh.' The other one said.

'We'll just have to find another one.' Andy said to the brown haired guy sadly. He nodded slowly.

'Come with us.' I blurted out. I looked at Gabe to see his reaction, but they were all nodding in agreement.

Andy shook his head. 

'I wouldn't want to intrude.' He said.

I shook my head quickly. 

'You wouldn't, please! The more the merrier!' I said, desperate to make new friends.

They chuckled slightly. 'As long as you're sure.' He said. I nodded, and motioned for them to join us. They obeyed and started to walk this way.

'Oh, I didn't catch you're name.' I said to the brown-haired guy.

He smiled. 'Ashley.' He said. 

'Ashley Purdy.'

Ik this chapter was crap and very short but Im rushing and didn't really have many ideas, just wanna thank everyone foR OVER 500 READS WOO THANKYOU SO FRIGGIN MUCH!!!!!!!
