Chapter 37

'The Princess' Wrath'

Hell's PoV

I never thought that this heartbreaking scene came this soon. I can't stand looking at her pale, fragile and tired body.

Which is mas nakakatakot. I don't want to see her cry pero mas mababawasan siguro ang sakit kung iiiyak niya.

She's just standing in front of her brother's coffin. No one dared to approach her. We all don't know what she is thinking right now. It's the last night of Peter's funeral. Heaven didn't entertain any of the guests.

Except this man who newly arrived that caught Heaven's attention.

"Sending my thoughts, prayers and condolences, Miss Montecillo." The man approach her at tinignan ito ni Heaven.

"You're the man at my father's grave."

"Dr. Ford is a big loss in his profession. Hindi ko akalain na—"

"Sino ka ba talaga? Why all of sudden, you showed up as if you're just an old friend who visits us."

"You even know my mother. Why does it happened that I am the only one who doesn't know you?" Patuloy ni Heaven.

"It is just happened that you're too young when I left so you probably couldn't recognize me." Mataman siyang tinitigan ni Heaven.

Then she turned her back and face her brother's coffin again.

"Heaven..." I approach her at tinignan naman niya ako. She looks so miserable at naiinis ako dahil wala man lang akong magawa para mapawi kahit papaano ang sakit na nararamdaman niya.

"He was probably my parent's friend dahil marami siyang alam tungkol sa kanila." Nakangiting sabi niya. I know dahil narinig ko ang saglit na pag-uusap nila.

"Don't you think it's weird?" Tinignan ako ng buong pagtataka ni Heaven.

"What do you mean?"

"He called you Montecillo. Muling nawala ang emosyon sa mukha ni Heaven and she stared back at the coffin.

"Magdududa na naman ako? Magugulo na naman ang isip ko? Hell, why does it hard to simply leave things that way? No complications. I want to be a girl who easily rely on what my naked eyes see. I don't want to complicate things. So let's just leave it that way. He's just an old friend. End of conversation."

"But Heav—"

"Hell, please!" humarap siya sa akin. "I just want a solemn and peaceful funeral for my brother. And it would only happen if I wouldn't care in everything. If that man was another threat in my safety, then be it. As long as it won't ruin this funeral, I could care less. I will deal with them right after the burial."
