Sterek tickled my stomach and I gasped, laughing loudly. I grabbed his hands from tickling me but he was a lot stronger than me. He flipped us so I was on bottom and he was too. I laughed louder when he ticked my neck and cried wen he tickled my armpits.
"I-I c-can't breathe! S-Sterek!" I gasped between laughs.
"Say it then!" He shouted.
"N-never!"
"Say it or I won't stop!"
"N-never! Griffin!"
Griffin put his head up and growled at Sterek. Sterek lied next to me and raised his hands. "Whoa, down Griffin. We're just having fun," Sterek said calmly.
Griffin growled before putting his back on the floor. My parents went to go but a small bed for Griffin so he won't have to sleep on the floor. I told them to buy a bed that is blue because it'll match his eyes. I invited Sterek and Andy over but Andy couldn't come because she was hanging out with her parents. Sterek came over because he had nothing else to do. Sterek grabbed my hand and twirled it around his fingers. I smiled tiredly and leaned my head on his shoulder. It's weird how one day you can have a boyfriend, a dog, and then parents who loves you even though you've been shitty to them. It felt surreal.
Sterek played with my hair as we stared in silence. "Tell me about yourself, Gabe," he whispered.
"You first," I said.
"I asked first."
"I asked second."
"First always the best."
"Dammit, you're right."
He chuckled and caressed my cheeks. I bit my bottom lip and thought hard. What was exciting about me? I found myself cold, distant, quiet, and out of this world. Shay sat at the end of the bed and stared at my blank wall. I thought back to Cassandra's walls and how it was colorful and filled with pictures. Mine was blank, white, and empty. I didn't feel like that anymore. Shay placed his hand on my wall and hummed a song that I didn't know. I guessed the ghosts were singing.
"I want my own world," I started. "I love jellyfishes, music, and have a obsession with Kellin Quinn. I love dogs, pianos, and art. Sweets used to make me happy but..." I paused. I didn't need to tell Sterek what happened. He doesn't need to know. What if he backfires it on me? What if he shrugs it off like Casper? What if I say something about Shay's death and Shay'll disappear? I couldn't risk that.
"Gabe?" I looked up and saw Sterek's soft brown eyes. I felt myself calm down. "You can tell me anything, okay? I won't judge."
I nodded and kissed his cheek. "I know, I know."
He smiled and kisses my forehead. We sat in silence until my phone started ringing. It was from an unknown number. I opened it and placed it on my ear. I thought it was Andy because I haven't given my number to her but somewhere she found my number. Sterek and Andy do the weirdest things to find me and that's why they're my friends. "Hello?"
"Gabe?"
The color from my face drained. I let the phone slipped through my fingers and to the floor. I ignored my phone and nuzzled myself onto Sterek's chest. Why does he have my number still? I thought he deleted it because he has Kasey. He has Kasey and I have Sterek. My phone ring again and Sterek moved so he could pick it up but I grabbed his hand.
"It's no one. Just stay here," I assured. I grabbed my phone from the floor and flashed him a smile before rushing out of my room. I put my phone on silent and texted my mom to call the house phone because my phone was dying. I put my phone on the kitchen table and was going to go back to my room when someone ring the door.
"Who is it?" I called out.
No answer.
I had a feeling who was behind that door and I wanted him out but he'll keep coming back. I sighed and grabbed the door knob. What was I going to say? So many thoughts were racing through my mind, my heart was pumping, and I felt sweat running down the side of my head. I swim the door opened and there he was. Casper has bags under his eyes, a grey sweater, black jeans, and vans. His hair was messy and he knew how much I liked it messy. Casper gave me a half smile before speaking in his British accent. "Hey, Gabe. Long time, no see, right?"
I crossed my arms and leaned my shoulder on the door. "What the hell do you want?"
Casper sighed and ran a hand through his hair. "Look, I'm sorry. It's been hard without you and I really need you back. Kasey was just a hump and dump. When I saw you with that prick this earlier, I had to take you because I missed you, Gabe."
I stared at him in disgust. "Was that an apology? Because if it was, that sucked ass. Why would you use Kasey like that? I thought you were better than this. And Sterek isn't a prick. He's the only nicest guy I'll ever meet. So do me a goddamn favor, get the hell away from me."
"I'm not leaving until you accept my apology. Look, I'm sorry, okay? I know-"
"Hey, Gabe, what's wrong?" Arms wrapped around my waist and my back was leaned on something hard. Casper's eyes shifted to his and mine. Casper pointed a finger at him. "You're dating him? I'm better looking than him!"
"Hey!" Sterek let go of me and pushed Casper's shoulder. "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all, asshole."
Casper pushed his shoulder. "I can say whatever I want because it's my fucking mouth, dick."
"I know I have a dick. That's why you were sucking on it yesterday."
Casper punched Sterek's face and spitted on his shirt. Sterek landed on the ground and groaned. He put his elbows up and glared at him. "Don't fuck with me," Casper hissed.
"I wouldn't want to fuck you, anyways," Sterek joked. He earned a kick in the gut.
I pushed Casper away from Sterek and got on my knees. I placed Sterek's head on my chest and touched his side. "Get the fuck away!" I screamed.
"Gabe, I-" Casper started.
"I don't want to hear it! Leave me the hell alone!" I hiccuped and let the tears run down my face. I didn't want to show him I was weak but he pushed my sad buttons. Casper gave me one last look before turning around and walking away.
"Hey, don't cry. I'm fine," Sterek mumbled. He wiped my cheeks and I sniffled. I didn't like violence as much as I did. I did punched my ex friend, Keith, but he was being a dick.
Sterek lifted himself and dusted his pants. He grabbed my hand and pulled me up. He wiped his bottom lip with the back of his hand and shrugged. I grabbed his hand and pulled him in my house. I let him sat on the kitchen chairs and opened the freezer. I grabbed a vegetable bag and gave it to him. He grabbed my waist and pulled me on his lap. I chuckled and placed the vegetable bag on his cheek.
"Can you kiss my boo-boo?" He asked in a baby voice. I smiled and kissed his pouted and split bottom lip.
"All better?" I whispered.
He smiled and pulled me closer. "All better. You make everything better."
