"Evans! Hey Evans" Oh goodness me... Really James? Another attempt? I'm sure it's the fourth time this week already, or maybe the fifth? Who even knows at this point. "What is it now Potter?" The fiery red head spat. A smug grin plastered his face as he held up his potions text book. "We have potions next... Care to be my partner? Maybe more if you get my drift" Honestly, after a year of this I thought it would've stopped but here we are. "In you're dreams" Her emerald eyes pierced into him. "We could make them a reality!" He calls as she walks away furiously, Severus joining her. Not daring to look at us. "I'm far more interesting then that slimy git anyway" He muttered as he turns towards us. "You sure are mate" Sirius ruffles his friends already messy hair. "It's not like he has already tried a few dozen times" I'd say he has asked more then that. "A few dozen? More like a few hundred times"

"Nice one Elsie" Peter smiles, trailing behind us trying to keep up. He always seemed to be trailing behind, perhaps we should try walking slower sometime. "It's kind of pathetic, its been a year and he is still hung up on the same girl. James there are plenty of girls who'd love to date you!" Although what Sirius said is true, he won't date any other girl. Not unless that girl is Lily.  That boy has a one track mind. Once it's set, he wont stand for any other option. "Lily is the only girl for me, maybe one day you'll understand that Sirius" He scoffs at the comment, now that seemed unrealistic. "Yeah, why don't you date any of the girls then? I'm sure there is a whole fanclub just waiting for you to ask" We finally got to the potions classroom, Slughorn smiled as we took our seats. "I have better things to worry about than dating" Sure, like lazing about the place or pulling pranks. I partner up with Remus, leaving the boys to their petty argument. "He says that now but one day he is gonna fall in love"

"Oh certainly" We laughed. "Not for me however, unlike him I actually do have better things to focus on" Remus scoffs and opens the text book. "Is that doubt I see before me?" He nods. "I'll bet you five sickles that you fall in love within the next two years" Two years seemed like a bit of a stretch but I accepted his bet. "Alright quiet down" Slughorn ushers the class to be quiet. "Good afternoon now today..." And then when I zoned out. I have Remus with me, he'll help me out. He always does when I'm bored in potions.  After a small daydream he pulled me out of la la land and explained what we were making in Elsie talk. "So we are making a shrinking solution thingy?" He nods. "Alright, I'll go get the ingredients while you boil the water" I walk to the back of the room with the list he had given me. I shuffled through the bottles and tins, grabbing everything I needed before making my way to the mousey haired boy. "I have returned! And have come bearing gifts" I place it all on the table for him. "You seem awfully cheerful now" He states as he poured a goopy liquid into the cauldron. "Who wouldn't feel that way when a boring lecture is over?" I let him mix everything as I was bound to screw it up. I noticed one of the ingredients trying to escape. I picked up the hairy caterpillar, it looked really derpy and gross. "Hey Remus look" I drop it in the cauldron, watching it sink into the green liquid. "It's drowning" He just shook his head and chuckled quietly. That was as much entertainment as I was getting this lesson. After a while he finally spoke up. "Hey Elsie... Could we talk after this? Privately?" His hazel eyes filled with worry, I wonder what's going on. "I really need to talk to you... Well I trust you the most with this" I agreed, whatever it was that he needed to talk about, I'm there for him.

We got out of that lesson sooner then expected. We finished our potion fairly quickly which meant we got dismissed. So we made our way to the seventh floor, it's normally empty up there around this time. Whatever Remus had to say, no one else would hear. "What's going on? Are you alright?" He looked more pale then usual, his hands balled up to fists as he looked towards the ground. "I think it's finally time I told someone... And I trust you the most with this" I nod and wait for him to continue. "You know how each month I go away for a night and I make really pathetic excuses for it?" I smile, of course I do. Once he made the excuse he was going to see a teacher about his grades... At night? It was a really confusing at the time. "Do you have a girlfriend? Is that why you sneak out?" He laughs nervously. "Goodness no"

"I... I'm a werewolf..." He went silent, he looked terrified at this point. "Remus... I'm sor-" He cut me off. "If you don't want to be my friend anymore that's fine... I understand" What on earth did he mean? "Why would this change anything?" He looked at me with disbelief. "I'm a monster! If the others found out they wouldn't want to be around me anymore..." I couldn't believe what I was hearing, the calm and easy going Remus was now a panicking mess. "Hey... Hey" I place my hands on his shoulders, which was quite hard because I'm extremely short compared to him. "You are not a monster, you never have and never will be" He still didn't seem to believe me. "But... I am" I sigh and shake my head. "Remus you fold your socks, you eat chocolate and apologise to people who bump into you, you are anything but a monster" He laughs a little, my comment seemed to cheer him up. "I'll always be your friend Remus" He wraps his arms around me, holding me tight. "Thank you Elsie... Now I think it's time we found the others before they get into trouble"
