Elsie
I don't know how long I had been awake for this morning but I remember watching the sunrise through the window. The memories of the shack came flooding back as I woke up. At first, it felt like it was just a dream, but the pain brought me back to reality. I looked at the bedside table, a small plate of biscuits and a glass of water was left there. I wonder how long I was out for. Hours? Days? I guess I wouldn't know until someone came into the dorm.
I slowly got out of bed and grabbed a blanket, the biscuits and sat by the windowsill. How did Severus know about the shack? No one could have known. Unless he was following us. That seems to be the only logical answer. "Elsie!" Someone had pulled me into a tight hug. "Ow ow ow" He instantly let go of me. "Sorry," James said sheepishly. It seemed some sort of realisation had hit him. "Oh! I have to get Lily!" James rushed out of the dorms, he was only gone for a moment. "See! She's awake!" James had returned with Lily following close behind him. She kneeled down next to me. "Are you alright?" I shrugged. I felt a little sore as if I were bruised all over. "Let's get you to the bathroom so I can check your wounds and get you cleaned up" She took my hand and led me back to the bathroom. She instantly got the bath running, adding all sorts of bubbles and salts. "How long was I asleep?" I asked her. "Only a couple of days, are you feeling any pain?" She asked. "Only a little" After examining my wounds she seemed satisfied. "Well your wounds seem to heal up okay"
It was only now that I looked at my reflection. Three long scars ran from the top of my forehead to the right side of my cheek, the scars grew larger as they ran down my neck and onto my chest. Was this because of Severus? Slowly I undressed and Lily helped me get into the bath. While I could wash on my own, Lily did insist on washing my hair. "Do they make me ugly?" She seemed taken back by the question. "The scars" She takes my hands. "They don't" She hands me a bathrobe as I hop out of the bath. There was a soft knock at the door. "Is everything okay?" It was Remus. "Here, Remus can tell you!" She opened the door and pulled him in, shutting the door promptly behind him. He seemed shocked at first but composed himself quickly. "Remus, would you say Elsie's scars make her ugly?" He looks towards me and smiled. "Of course not" He sat down next to me. "Do my scars make me ugly?" He asked."Of course not" I replied. His scars were a part of who he is. I couldn't imagine Remus without his scars. "It took a lot for me to accept myself Elsie, and if it weren't for you or the others, I might not be the person I am today""We will always be there for you Elsie," Lily said.
When I came back into the boy's dorms, I saw Peter reading on his bed and James playing with his snitch, however, they seemed to be in a casual discussion about an upcoming class. "Where is Sirius?" I asked. At the mention of his name, the two boys went silent. "He is out, has been since the other night" What happened after I passed out? "A lot happened" After they explained what happened after I passed out I was conflicted. How could Sirius be so stupid? Saying I was angry with him was an understatement, but it wasn't him who threw that curse at Remus. It was Snape. "Since then he has been out of it, he barely talks or eats," Peter said.

The library was buzzing with students this afternoon. I continued to fold pieces of parchment into little birds. "Elsie, can you stop goofing off? We are supposed to be studying" Lily scolded. "I am studying," I said as I made another bird. Remus poked his head out from his book. "You're doing origami" I'll show them studying. "Avifors" With the wave of my wand, my paper birds had grown feathers. The birds began to fly around our table. I pointed my wand at Lily and watched as they flew around her head. "Okay okay, I take it back" We laughed and continued studying. I did enjoy transfiguration, especially when I get to make little birds like this. It was only now I noticed Sirius by the entrance. "Hey, Sirius!" I called out, we made eye contact for a split moment before he rushed out of the library. "It has been a week and he still won't talk to me" I groaned. My birds had become still on the table, back to their boring paper form. "I think he still feels guilty about what happened"
"But it wasn't him who did this to me, it was Snape" I mumbled. "But he did set Snape up," Remus said. He put down his book and looked at me. "While it was wrong, he is still our friend. The best we can do right now is give him some space. He will come to us when he is ready"
