Beckie's POV

I tossed and turned in the bed over and over again. I extend my arm to hug a person who is not laying next to me. I sit up and rub my temples before kicking off the sheets. I slip on my slippers and slowly drag my feet across the room. I stop to listen for any noise and open the door as I hear no one's voice. Just as I'm about to call Niall's name out, I freeze in place. My knees feel weak and I begin to feel dizzy.

Niall is sitting in the couch with none other than Barbara on his lap. His hands are on her lower back, pushing her into him as she tugs at his hair and kisses him. A moan leaves his mouth before Barbara is quickly on her feet. She looks down at me embarrassed and Niall follows her gaze; his eyes widen. I must have let out some sort of cough that interrupted them.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to interrupt anything." I turn on my heels and begin to walk. It isn't until the cold air hits me, that I notice I have ran out of the house. Niall screams my name but I don't look back. I continue to run out of the front yard filled with sand. It slides through each one of my toes, sinking me deeper. I finally reach solid ground filled with giant trees and soft grass. I slow down to but continue to jog. The light from the house has disappeared, leaving the bright moon light guiding me. I hear Niall's voice calling my name again and I begin to run again. My body hits the floor as I trip over a branch on the ground. I feel my body impacts first while my head follows. Niall's voice fades as he continues to scream my name.

The bright sunlight hurts my eyes as I open them slowly. The birds chirping cause me to awaken. I spit out pieces of grass from my mouth while I push myself off the floor. I sit on the ground as I look around, confused to where I am. It has to be around 7 a.m considering where the sun is at. I stand up and look around once again. I look towards where the branch is and decide to walk in it's direction. Even if it doesn't lead me straight to the house, it will surly lead me to the beach. From there, I'll have to walk down until I find the house. Luckily, it leads me a few yards away from the house. It's surrounded by strange cars which I assume belong to cops. Niall has his arms folded, talking to a man with a notepad while Barbra, her family, and Niall's father talk amongst each other.

"There she is!" Barbara yells and everyone's eyes are on me. Niall unfolds his arms and runs past the men. I stop moving and close my eyes. The tides of the shore relax me while I breath in the humid air. A set of arms are quickly around me. The sound of crying rings through my ears.

"Where have you been?" Niall says through his cries. I try to pull out of his grip but he's to strong. My hands move to his arms and force him to move away from me.

"In there." I point back to the forest. "I slept there all night."

His eyes are bloodshot and look exhausted. He shakes his head before pulling me into a hug again. I sigh while he begins to cry once again.

"The important thing is that you're okay." Niall's dad moves close to me. "You had us very worried." He pulls Niall off of me before giving me a tight hug. His arms are warm against my cold skin. I can't help but bring my arms up around him.

"So everything is okay?" Two black men move towards us. They look back and forth between Niall and I while I respond that everything is alright. The other men get inside their cars and in a matter of minutes, they're out of sight.

"Rebecca, don't ever do that to me again." Niall whispers into my ear as we walk back inside. Barbara and her family are sitting on the couches. She looks up at me with a mixture of guilt and embarrassment in her eyes. Before I can stop to talk to them, Niall is dragging me into the bedroom. He let's go of my arm once we are inside before closing and locking the door. He turns to look at me as he rubs his face with both hands and sliding them through his hair at the end.
