My Soulmate {CDawgVA x Reader}

Soulmate AU: At birth everyone was given a necklace with a half of a heart, but the end where it connects to the other half has a unique design that one's soulmate has the matching half to. Every time you are close you your soulmate, the necklace becomes warmer, the further away it's colder. This way, nobody is hurt by others who claim to be their one and only but really aren't.

Also, once you find your soulmate and the matching pieces are conjoined, you can take them off and live your life with the one you love.

AND! You cannot take off the necklace if you haven't found your soulmate or you will die. It acts as a life force until you find someone you are able to live with. This also prevents anyone from stealing or trading necklaces.

You were walking around with Kagura, your best friend. He was discussing that if he found his soulmate that he and her will take off their necklaces and hang them on a display in their room to symbolize that they're meant for each other.

"You should do it too! That way if you and your soulmate have an argument, you can always look at the necklaces to remind yourselves that nobody can tear you apart!"

"Kagura, it's a nice thought, but my necklace has been cold ever since birth. I've found no one who has a match to mine."

"I don't know, maybe you'll find someone in a few months. It'd be nice, you know?"

"Yeah."

"So you know that guy on YouTube?"

"CDawg?"

"Yeah! I saw his necklace in his video and it looks like yours a bit."

You snorted and started laughing, "Are you kidding me? Kagura, if you're trying to get my hopes up, it ain't working. I doubt a guy like him would ever be my soulmate."

"You never know, only two unique halves make a whole."

You sighed and pressed your fingertips to your necklace and yipped when you felt heat.

"What's wrong?" asked Kagura.

"The necklace, it's really warm."

He smiled, "Keep your fingers on it! We'll find him (Y/N)! I'm sure of it!"

"What if they're not who I'm expecting?"

"Whoever they are, we will find them and you're gonna be the happiest girl in the world!"

You and Kagura ran around town trying to find your soulmate, you guys were searching for hours when you two decided to give up. Kagura went home and you sat on a bench in the park. You buried your face in you hands, sighing.

"It's hopeless," you mumbled, "I'll be alone forever."

After a few hours of crying into your gloves, you fell asleep.

~Connor's POV~

"Wow, my necklace is really warm. Is she here?" I asked myself as I walked around the park.

I saw a girl sitting on a bench, she was asleep and her cheeks were red from the cold. I decided to wake her up and walk her home. I approached her quietly so I wouldn't startle her, but she woke up and sat up.

"Woah, my necklace..."she mumbled.

"Um, miss?" I asked.

She looked up to me and her eyes widened, "Y-You! CDawgVA!"

I gave her a smile, "Hello."

"I'm (Y/N)! It's a pleasure to meet you!"

"It's a pleasure to meet you as well. Why were you on the bench in the snow?"
