Not Dying Today {Deadlox x Reader} [AU]

You and Ty have been friends for longer than you could imagine.

He was so kind to you. He was caring and calm. Everything you wanted in a best friend.

The thing is...you and Ty can see when others are going to die. Everyone else could see when you would die. So when someone's time was close, you would be nice to someone. You wanted their last memory to be someone being nice to them before they left the world.

One day, you and Ty were walking around town. People kept coming up to Ty and said that they loved him and won't forget him. Some others offered to take him to lunch.

You were confused, then you looked over at Ty. Three big, white numbers were above his head.

2:50 two hours and fifty minutes.

Those numbers made you freeze in place, Ty looked at you with a concerned face.

"Everything okay?" He asked.

You nodded and smiled weakly. You also knew how he was going to die. He was going to get stabbed by a random person.

"Hey! How about we go to that restaurant you were telling me about? My treat!"

"Really? Are you sure?"

"Y-Yeah! Then we can go to the park or...whatever you want!"

Ty knew that you only acted like this when someone was going to die. He heart dropped as he watched you walk with him. He didn't want to go, but he knew it was soon.

You two spent the whole day together, and you were confused why he wasn't gone yet. You two spent 5 hours together and something was terribly wrong.

You and Ty walked back to your house and went inside. You went to your room and sat down, slowing down the pace of your rapidly beating heart.

"He's okay, (Y/N). He's okay. He's not dying. He's not-"

Your thoughts were interrupted by a loud crash and a shout. You bolted out of the room and gasped at the sight.

There was a bloody knife on the floor. Ty was laying on the ground, his hand over his chest.

You bolted to his side, tears falling down your face.

"Ty, what happened?"

He didn't reply, he was trying to stop the bleeding.

You grabbed the phone and called 911.

"911, what's your emergency?"

"My friend was stabbed in the chest. He's bleeding pretty badly. There's a knife next to him on the floor and it's really bloody."

"Okay, ma'am, I'm sending an ambulance to your location, but stay on the phone with me. Is he breathing?"

"Yes, yes he's breathing. I don't think he's going to last. Please tell them to hurry."

"What's your name, miss?"

"(Y/N) (L/N) and my friend's name is Tyler (insert his last name since I don't know)."

"Okay, (Y/N). How badly is he bleeding?"

"His whole shirt is soaked with blood and his whole hand is bloody."

"Okay, the ambulance is very close to your location. Hang up the phone. Help your friend."

"Thank you."

"Good luck."

You hung up and grabbed a towel and dampened it. You lifted Ty's shirt and applied pressure to the wound in his chest. You looked at his face and placed a hand on his cheek.

"I'm sorry Ty. I'm so so sorry."

"(Y-Y/N), it's fine. I'll be okay."

"No, no no! Ty, it's my fault I should've told you!"

"It's okay. Please, don't blame yourself. I love you too much for that."

"What?"

"I love you, (Y/N). It's funny, never thought I would tell you as I'm dying."

You let more tears fall down your face. You got close to him and kissed him. You pulled away and tried to keep him awake.

"Ty. Ty, come on stay with me." You repeated as you lightly pat the side of his face to look at you.

"Hey, hey. Come on, look at me. Stay awake for me."

The paramedics came in and you called them into the kitchen. They picked up Ty and allowed you to ride to the hospital with them. You called your friend, Kagura, and told him what happened. He said he would be at the hospital in a few and hung up.

~Timeskip~

You were sitting next to Ty at he laid on his hospital bed. Kagura was standing in the room with you. He nearly had tears down his face.

You stood up and walked out of the room. You sunk to the floor and started crying. He was critical when you got to the hospital. The police were trying to find out who stabbed Ty.

You looked up and an officer was in front of you.

"We found the culprit."

"Who?"

"There is a serial killer who kills people with his mind. He has an ability to grab and use things telepathically. We've already arrested him, will you press charges?"

"Yes."

The nurse came by and smiled kindly to you, "Tyler's girlfriend?"

"Yes."

"Good news is that he'll live, he should be waking up any time soon. The cut missed a major artery attached to his heart by an inch. Any closer and he would've bled out and died on the spot."

You sighed in relief and thanked the officer and the nurse. You walked back into the room and sat back down.

"What'd the nurse say?" Asked Kagura.

"He's gonna live."

"Well that's good or otherwise I'd be upset if she got the results wrong." Said Ty.

"TY!" You shouted and hugged him gently.

He laughed slightly and hugged back.

"I thought you were going to die."

"Not dying yet."

"But you were supposed to die two hours after lunch."

"Guess they got it wrong."

You smiled and kissed him, Kagura quickly took a picture and laughed.

You pulled away and looked at Kagura, "What?"

"I'm about to post the picture of you smoochin'!"

"Don't do dis!" You and Ty exclaimed.

"Too late!"

You three laughed.

Three weeks later, you won the trial against the serial killer and he got locked away in solitary confinement for life.

A month later, Ty healed up and was able to return home. You two lived happily together.

And you were so happy he didn't die.
