That's all you did, never once was there a moment of piece with you both screaming at each other.

We let the waters rise

You both took breaks, a lot of them at that, because you needed time away from each other. But it would always end up being you to call them and tell them that you're sorry, that you were wrong.

We drifted to survive

And as the fighting got worse and worse, you started to think about breaking up with them to stop all this fighting.

So, you ended up breaking up with them. They moved out and you were left alone.

But I let you drift away.

It's been two years since the breakup, no calls, no texts, not even a snapchat from them. You wondered where they were, if they moved on.

You gave up trying to look for them and decided to go to a café before heading to your college class for the day. When you reached the café, a familiar coffee smell filled your nose and you immediately drifted over to the counter to place your order.

They brought you everything you liked food wise, and even brought extra tissues and movies. They wrapped you in a blanket and let you lay on their lap as you cried. They played with your hair to calm you.
