*Spencer's POV*
Today is Toby and my weekend get away. A few days ago, Toby asked me if I wanted to go on a weekend get away with him, and of course I agreed. So today after Toby gets home from work, he and I are going up to my parents lake house for the weekend.
"Ready to go babe?" he asks, dragging a suitcase behind him.
"I think so." I say, taking one last look around the house.
"Great, then let's go!" Toby says, taking my hand and leading me out to the car.
About an hour or so later, we pull up in front of the lake house. I haven't been here for almost a year! The last time I came was with the girls, and that was last April. It is now the end of February, and I'm getting more and more excited for March, because then we can finally meet our baby boys!
When we get inside, the house feels warm and welcoming. The fireplace is on, which is odd because no one's been here for a while.
"I'll go run the suitcase up to the bedroom. You can stay down here and rest." Toby says, dragging our suitcase up the flight of stairs. Toby has really been looking out for me these past few months, and I really appreciate that. Looking back at all that's happened over the course of the last eight months, I get overwhelmed. With finding out I'm pregnant, Finding out we're having triplets, then losing the babies, then the drama between Toby and Emily, then my mental breakdown, then going to Radley, then finding out the babies are still alive, it's been a little more than a chaotic couple of months.
I wander into the kitchen and am pleasantly surprised to find the table neatly set with china and food that looks and smells amazing. As I'm admiring it all, Toby appears in the doorway.
"Toby, why did you do all of this?" I ask, motioning to the table. Toby shrugs.
"Well, I thought we could use a romantic night away, and what screams romantic more than candlelit dinners?" he asks. I smile.
"This is so sweet! I'm honestly so surprised!"
"Well, should we eat?" Toby asks. I nod eagerly.
"Yes, everything looks amazing and I'm dying to taste it all!" My mouth waters when I look around at all of the food.
"I wanted to do something that represents us. Since we met through my french tutoring, I thought why not have french food? But... I have a confession to make." Toby says sheepishly. I give him a questioning look.
"I don't know how to make real authentic french food, so I decided to make the french food that I know how to make instead."
"Toby, that is so romantic!" I say. It honestly amazes me how much he loves me and how much he does for me. No one has ever cared for me as much as Toby has. When we first met, I had no idea that I would fall madly in love with him, but here we are three years later, with two little boys on the way. I take a seat.
"So what's on the menu for tonight Mr. Fancy French Guy?" I ask. Toby grins.
"For appetizers we have french fries with french mustard, and salad with french dressing. For our entree we have french taost and french onion soup, and to top it off, we are having french silk pie for dessert!" Toby says, grinning proudly. I burst out in laughter.
"What's so funny?" he asks, pretending not to know.
"Just you." I reply, wrapping my arms around him. He pulls my body against his and presses his lips to mine.

"This french toast is amazing!" I say, shoving my mouth full of the crispy toast sprinkled with powdered sugar.
