*Emily's POV*

"Let's go go go!" The nurses cry, running the stretcher down the halls. Aria, Hanna, and Spencer hold my hand and run along side the stretcher.

"I can't." I say, sobbing hysterically. "I can't have A's baby!"

"It's okay Em. You'll do fine! Keep looking at the positives. We've all done this." The girls say, out of breath from running.

"What's the emergency?" Another nurse asks.

"She's ten minutes away from giving birth!" The nurse screams. "Move it now!" I try to look over my giant belly as the wheel me into the delivery room.

"I'm sorry girls, but you need to wait out here." The doctor says closing the door, and just like that, my friends are out of sight.

"I can't do this!" I sob. "This isn't my baby!"

Twelve Hours Later

I sit in the silent hospital room, watching the clock and waiting anxiously for the doctors to return with my daughter. I think back to the events of last night. That wasn't how it was supposed to happen! Of all the times I've sat on the sofa waiting impatiently for my baby girl to come, she had to come at the most inconvenient time: while we were on an A mission, in the middle of the night, during a sleepover. God dammit.

I was a nervous wreck the whole time in the delivery room. Before, I wanted nothing more than to get my child out of me, but now that she's out, I want her back in. She was safe inside of me, and A couldn't hurt her, but now that she's out, she's A's number one target.

My friends have probably gone home to their own families by now. It's been twelve hours since I went into labor. Paige is sound asleep on the chair by my bedside. I couldn't sleep even if I wanted to. A has to be here, because he must want to see his daughter too. Just thinking about the fact that my daughter is also A's daughter makes me want to puke. I come close every time.

I've stayed up all night making a list of names for my baby girl. I'm for sure not giving her a name that starts with A. I thought about naming her Maya or Shana after my ex girlfriend's, but I don't want to be reminded of them when I look at my daughter. I don't want to be reminded of anyone when I look at my daughter except for my daughter. I really liked the name Naya, but that was too close to Maya, and Paige didn't approve.

Just then, the nurse comes into the room whole wheeling an isolett. My baby lays inside sound asleep and wrapped in pink. Paige sits up when the door closes.

"Em?" She asks, still groggy from sleep.

"Paige, she's here." I say, unable to hide my smile. Paige smiles too.

"Here she is." The nurse says, handing me my beautiful baby girl. I stroke her soft black hair. When I look at her, it's like looking into a mirror at a mini version of me.

"She looks just like you." Paige says, as if she could read my thoughts.

"Yeah, she does." I say, smiling in awe at my little miracle.

"Have you decided on a name yet?" The nurse asks, filling out her birth certificate. I look at Paige.

"I think we have." She says, giving my hand a squeeze.

"Her name is, Shay Michelle Fields." We say in unison.

"Shay Michelle Fields, it's perfect." The nurse repeats, jotting it down.

"Yes it is." I agree, kissing the top of Shay's head. Just then, another nurse peeks her head in.

"Emily Fields, you have visitors." she says.

"Send them on in!" I exclaim. She opens the door wider and Aria, Hanna, and Spencer come in with coffee cups in their hands. The bags under their eyes are very visible.

"Oh my god, did you guys stay here all night?" I ask shocked.

"Yes we did!" Spencer says yawning.

"You guys didn't have to do that!" I say. I'm so grateful for my friends and Paige. I don't know where I would be without them!

"Surprisingly the metal chairs in the lobby are quite comfortable." Hanna says, half asleep.

"Okay, enough about us. I want to meet this little bundle of joy!" Aria says, suddenly wide awake.

"Come here!" I say, motioning for my friends to gather around. They all surround me.

"Guys, meet Shay Michelle Fields." I say, showing off my beautiful daughter.

"Oh my god, Em she's beautiful!" Spencer says, stroking her soft black hair.

"She sure has a lot of hair!" Aria comments. "And I thought Luce had a lot!"

"She's gorgeous Em. A perfect little mini Emily."

"Welcome to the world Shay. I know it's scary at first, but your mommies will take good care of you. I'm auntie Aria, and this is your auntie Hanna and Spencer. You're going to have lots of little cousins to play with when you get older. We will love you forever." Aria says, kissing Shay on her head.

"I'm Auntie Hanna! I'm going to spoil you and buy lots and lots of clothes for you so that you never ever run out! I will also make sure you have the cutest collection of shoes." Hanna says, stroking Shay's tiny foot.

"My turn!" Spencer says, stepping up to the bed. "Hi Shay. I'm your auntie Spencer. I have two little boys who will love to have another little girl to play with. Except you guys can't date until you're thirty-one, okay?" giggles arise. "I'm also going to make you love caffeine as much as I do. I promise to always love you little girl." By this time I'm in tears. My friends are the sweetest.

"Ok, it's my turn." Paige says, her eyes filling with tears of joy and pride.

"Shay, you are the most beautiful thing I've ever laid eyes on, except for your mommy of course." she says, smiling at me. "I promise to always love you and your mommy unconditionally. I will never leave you or stop loving you. I will watch you grow up and give you lots of hugs and kisses. I promise to always protect you and teach you everything I know. I love you little princess." I'm now laying in a pool of tears. I'm an ugly, tired, crying mess but no one in this room cares. They love me for who I am. They love my daughter for who she is. They will always be there for us, so I never have to worry. I love them so so much. They are my rock. Without them, I probably wouldn't even be alive. Nothing could ruin this perfect moment.

Just then, my phone beeps. Aria picks it up and a worried expression washes over her face.

"What's wrong?" I ask. Aria hands me my phone.

Awe, what a nice little ceremony you put on there. You almost had me in tears! I have a few things I'd like to say myself. Happy birthday Shay. I'm your daddy, and you are my daughter. I can't wait to get my hands on you. You better tell your mommy to watch out, because I'm going to be spending lots of time with you very soon! Kisses, dAddy

I take back what I said eariler. There is something that could ruin this moment, and that something is A.
