About two weeks went by. Felt like years, though. Calum got less arrogant and Valencia actually struggled with staying physically fit. Your unit of trainees ran laps every single day, and even though they were tiring, they got easier as the days progressed. Valencia was one of the few who'd throw up on the side or pass out after long hours in the heat.

The unnamed boy stuck with Seung and Mika, the girl with shoulder-length cornrows. He'd just slightly smile at you and watch you if you were called out by the Captain. To be honest, he didn't seem to fit in with Mika or Seung. He seemed extremely quiet with them; you'd trade Calum any day to have the nameless boy talk to your group more.

"What's that kid's name?" You ask Ballard, pointing to the nameless boy.

"The kid who I practiced fighting with said 'Raul'."

Winona looked up from her food. "Who?"

Ballard nodded his head back to Raul.

"Him? No, his name is Gabriel."

Valencia decided to join this time. "He lived near my village. His name is Pablo."

Pablo, Gabriel, Raul - what the hell. "How does no one know his name?" You ask.

Winona shrugged. It was a humorous sight to see a ripped gladiator be vulnerable and confused. "I never heard him say his name. I heard others call him that."

You look to Valencia. "Did you ever hear him say that 'Pablo' was his name?"

Valencia blinked and shifted her jaw around in thought. A minute flew by before she responded with a blank "no".

You knew a lot of the names of the people in your unit - you mostly recognized faces - so you could probably figure out his name by listening to a role call or something. You planned on doing that.

Today was the day where everyone would learn how to operate the 3D maneuver gear. You had learned how to use it in class, but never in person.

"I'm kinda nervous." Valencia said as you adjusted the straps on her. The gear hung at her sides, swaying with her movements. "Are you nervous?"
