You charge deeper into the houses. Most are untouched and perfectly still, a few are in flames. The streets are empty and the houses are rid of people. You scan the area for Titans - none are around. Two are distant and occupied, and as terrible as it is, you hope they stay occupied with other people.
You sneak into a pale blue house and hide beneath the windows, pressing your chest against the dirty floor. You can feel the vibrations of the ground on the tips of your ears. Your heart rate starts flying when you feel vibrations getting closer. Can anyone help you? Did the Survey Corps man see you run this way?
Suddenly, the vibrations stop. You hold your breath for as long as possible and shut your eyes tightly. The roof is pulled off, and the last thing you see is a wide grin.
