You turn to face him, bowing, your legs crossed and head lowered.

"As you know, Calum, I do everything to please you."

You give a sharp turn and walk down the open path to your position. Armin awaits you, the reins of his horse and yours in his hands. His expression looks nervous but he tries his best to greet you with a kind gesture.

"Good morning, Y/N." His eyes flick across the landscape as you get onto your horse. "I was worried sick, I thought maybe you'd get yelled at."

"I'm lucky the captains aren't here."

You wipe your eyes off with the sides of your hands. The morning air was fresh and rejuvenating. Everyone around you was chatting, waiting on Captain Levi and Erwin Smith. Your memory came back to the sound of the buzzing bees.

In the tree line, a figure stood unmoving.

The voices became hums.

A woman - definitely a woman - with short hair. She wore a uniform of some sort.

The bees tugged on one another, the humming growing louder. Vibrations crawled up your arms and down your ears in swarms like the small legs of the bees, traveling to and fro. The noise grew to an agonizing cacophony of sound the longer you tried to focus.

And suddenly - it all stopped.
