"Which one of you is Wolfe and which one of you is L/N?"
You pointed to yourself. "I-I'm L/N."
The girl's blue eyes skimmed across you and then to Winona. She tucked a small strand of blonde hair behind her ear, only for it to fall back into place a few moments later.
The girl, Annie, led you and Winona around the area to show off the things they often barely use. There was a lack of maneuver gear in the area, rifles replacing such gear.
"You know how to shoot, right?"
Winona and you had shot simple pistols before, but nothing like a rifle. Nothing for actual defense, more for air signals than anything. You both nod your heads, anyways.
"You both should have gotten a key in your room - for the rifle lockers." She points to a small group of lockers along the outer wall of the soldier grounds. "They're over there."
Her eyes flick between you and Winona for any source of understanding. No one picks up the hint. Annie moves on after getting no responses.
Annie huffed and crossed her arms awkwardly. You didn't notice it before, but gosh, Annie sure did look like a toddler compared to Winona. "That's all I was required to show you. You're dismissed."
~
"How was Annie?"
"A lovely character." Winona said sarcastically, plopping herself down on Ballard's bed. Ballard made himself comfortable in a chair next to his cupboard. You stood and inspected the room. It was almost the same as yours, almost everything except for the little slips of clothes hanging out from the drawers and the pink slippers propped against the back of his chair.
"What did you think of her, Y/N?"
Annie was pleasant (Chapter 83)
Annie seemed cold (Chapter 84)
