The rain whirls past the bodies.

"Hand me that bag," Calum says, pointing to a large bag in your left arm, "I'll carry it for you."

"I'm fine."

Calum yanks the bag out from under your armpit, throwing it over his back. "Don't lie to me, L/N."

You thank him silently in your head. The winds picked up speed, the rain slamming into the figures ahead like the windshield of a car. A castle peeks out behind the trees and you can't help but sigh out of happiness.

Captain Erwin stands beyond it in the field, directing everyone inside. The entrance is dark and musty, cobwebs building in some corners.

"God, how welcoming." Calum mutters, setting his two bags on the floor near your feet.

A figure steps out from the corner where he originally leaned. "You'll all be cleaning it."

You recognize him immediately, his short stature and green cape resting on his broad shoulders. Where had you seen him before?

Calum's eyes scrunch. "It's pouring outside, Sir."

The man raises his eyebrows under his dark, black hair. He makes a "ch" sound before smiling angrily. "I'm aware, kid. The rain is all the more reason to clean. This will be your room until we clean up somewhere else."

Captain Erwin walked, a gust of wind and ice shooting through the room. He closed the door behind him, everyone's attention placed on his presence.

"Levi, have the others returned?"

"No, I was waiting on them. They're still out with Hanji. She's probably got them all killed by now."

Captain Erwin twisted his jaw uneasily, rubbing his shoulder. Something you had yet to notice before lit your eyes up with fear. Captain Erwin had one arm, the other stopped at the elbow. Bandages wrapped along the stump under his long shirt sleeve.

"You'll refer to me as Captain Levi." The man inquired. He stepped out of the room randomly, coming back a moment later with a box of cleaning supplies. "Now, get to work."
