Six months later
"I think I'm broken," I said jokingly, lying on the couch with a warm towel on my forehead.
Twenty one pilots had finally gotten a little break from their tour, and Josh and I were finally able to stay in our apartment for a few days. I didn't realize how much I had missed it until we were back.
Josh looked at me and frowned. "Did you eat something to make you sick?"
"I'm not sure. I just feel really nauseous all the time," I replied, closing my eyes.
"Sam, you haven't eaten anything in almost two days. Something is wrong. Let me take you to a doctor," Josh pleaded.
I sat up from the couch and looked at him.
"I think I'll be okay. Why are you so worried?" I asked curiously.
"Because I know our tour schedule is hectic and I'm just afraid it's starting to affect your health. I don't like that you haven't been eating and you seem tired all the time. For my peace of mind, please just get checked out. If they say you're fine, I'll drop it," he said softly, running his hand through my hair.
"Okay, okay. I'll go. For you," I said, kissing his forehead and getting up to get changed.

Josh and I sat in the waiting room, waiting for my name to be called. I was more bored than anything, but Josh seemed very anxious.
"Jish, relax," I said, taking his hand in mine and rubbing it.
"This is just taking really long," he sighed.
"Samantha Dun?" a nurse called.
"Let's go," I said, standing up and pulling Josh by the hand.
Josh and I walked to the nurse and she led us down a hallway. She started doing typical checkup stuff, like taking my blood pressure and weight. All normal. I could see Josh start to relax slightly at that.
"Okay, now please take this cup to provide a urine sample for testing," the nurse said, handing it to me.
Before I left for the restroom, I saw Josh's eyes go wide, as if a sudden thought just occurred to him. I shrugged and didn't think much of it.
When I came back, the nurse then sat us in a room to wait for a doctor. She instructed for me to sit on the examining bed, and for Josh to sit on the chair next to it.
"Are you okay?" I asked Josh quizzically. He had an odd expression on his face.
"I'm fine, it's just...I was thinking..."
Josh stopped abruptly when the door opened and the doctor holding a clipboard came into the room.
"Hello Samantha, I'm Doctor Gaskarth," he said politely, shaking my hand.
"Hello," I replied.
"Who might this be?" he inquired, gesturing towards Josh.
"Oh, this is my husband Josh," I said, smiling brightly. I don't think I'll ever get tired of saying that.
"Okay, well let me start asking some questions. When did you begin feeling ill?"
"About three days ago."
"Have you eaten anything unusual?"
"Not recently, no."
"Okay, let's talk about your sexual activities. Are you sexually active?" Doctor Gaskarth asked.
I felt my face redden slightly, and out of the corner of my eye I saw Josh blushing as well.
"Yes," I replied.
"When was the last time you had sex?"
"Four days ago."
"Protected?"
"No," I said shyly.
"About how often would you say you engage in sexual activities?"
Josh laughed nervously and I giggled. I knew if Tyler heard the answer to the question he would probably freak out, considering there were only so many options when we weren't staying at a hotel.
"Like four or five times a week," I responded with a grin.
Doctor Gaskarth smiled and noted something on his clipboard.
"I'll be right back," he said, and he walked out of the room.
I sat there quietly and thought about what the doctor just asked me. No, that can't be it..
Doctor Gaskarth came back into the room a few minutes later.
"Well Sam, we discovered why you've been feeling unwell," he said slowly, a smile forming on his face.
"Why is that?" Josh asked breathlessly, getting up and sitting next to me.
"Congratulations to you both...you're going to have a baby."
That's a wrap! Thank you so much to everyone reading this story. I had a lot of fun writing it. I'm not sure if I want to write a sequel, which is why I left the ending as it is. Again, I really appreciate the votes, comments and general support for this book. Thank you! ~DjSpookyKay 🖤💜
