Chapter 4

Perries POV

I pace around the reception. This was probably my only chance to be alone with Jade, and now i'll have to hang out and be all lovey-dover with my best friend. I just wish the roles would swap, and Jade would be my girlfriend and Alex would be my best friend. I mean, atleast I will actually be with Jade.
"Pez, relax. I know you haven't seen him in weeks but you'll be insanely happy when you see him". I feel like scoffing at her words. She thinks i'm pacing because of nerves, but it's just frustration, that I can't spend the night just with her, even though it is just as friends.
I feel her hand on my hand and she grips it. "They're here!", she exclaims, dragging me to the door. She instantly darts in the Jed's arms and they wrap around her. I feel my vision go blurry, and tears spout down my face as I see Jed kiss Jades head repeatedly and at the same time placing his hands on her back. I see Alex rush over and pull me in to a hug. I sink in to his soft jumper, trying to erase the whole concept of me liking Jade. I continue to let the tears fall, as I feel so stupid, to ever think this would end up as a thing. "I missed you so much", he says pulling away and looking at me fondly. I sniffle and smile, putting my guard down and acting like i'm over the moon. "Shall we go to our room then?", says Alex, taking my hand. I fake a smile and as we head towards the door I see Jade and Jeds lipped connected. I squeeze Alex's hand in rage and he rubs his thumb on my hand. I'm so glad that everyone thinks i'm such a mess as i'm so happy to see Alex, but in reality it's the complete opposite.

We follow Jade and Jed in to the lift and thankfully they aren't even holding hands. Our room is on the top floor, so after a few floors, I see Jade approach me and run her finger under my eyes, probably removing the smudged makeup. I smile at Jade before she joins Jed again, almost moving like two opposite magnets. I see him wrap his arm around Jade, and before I slap him, I put all my negative energy together and slam my lips against Alex's, trying to survive this lift journey without anyone getting hurt. I feel Alex smile in to the kiss, and instantly kisses back. "So, where are we off to tomorrow angel". The second he says we I pull away and burry my head in Alex's jumper again. Using it as a kind of shield. "Well I think we're going to- I'm not sure actually"- she trails off. "Pez?", I hear her say. "Huh?", I say, although I heard her.

"Where's our first show?"
"Phoenix. It's just a few hours away on the bus"
"What time do we need to be up?", asks Alex, rubbing my neck. I groan as he smooths out the knots in my neck.
"Well we need to start getting ready at 10, but I would start waking sleeping beauty at 9"

I hear both Alex and Jade laugh, and I see Jed lean down to whisper something to Jade, to which she laughed. I try to keep a straight face, so I look down at the floor. After what felt like an eternity but was actually 5 seconds, the lift reaches our floor and we all step out. "But Jadey, wasn't our room just for 2 people?".
"I'm sure if we ring they can bring a sofa bed", says Jed quickly. "Then we can all be together", says Alex. I smile my first smile of the day at him and he kisses my cheek quickly.

It's 7pm and i've gone mad. Alex has been talking to Jed all night and Jed's been smothered all over Jade. I tried to talk to her but she made short replies and then continued either snogging his face off or concentrating on whatever Jed has just said.

"I'm going for a walk", I say, grabbing my phone. I see Alex turn to look at me and send a questioning glance, which I ignore before closing the door and running to the lift. I dial Jesys number quickly. She picks up after the 3rd ring. "Pez, how's it going with Jad-"
I cut her off before she can go on; "Can i come to your room?"
"Yeah, Ill send you the address. Is everything oka-" I cut her off by hanging up.

I reach Jesys room and knock and the second she opens the door I loose all the strength I had been trying to maintain and let it crumple on the floor, collapsing in her arms. "Oh my god Pez, what happened?", I hear her say, wrapping her arms around me. I pull away and see Jesys face of curiosity. "Jed and A-Alex came. And J-Jade is all over him", I struggle to say. I hear Jesy gasp and rub my back. She drags me over to the sofa bed and sits me down, dashing to pass me a bottle of water, which I take a sip of. "But did they just appear out of nowhere?", asks Jesy, sitting next to me. "I think Simon must have organized it. I-I'm just so mad at myself for falling for Jade. I have Alex who cares for me so much but I can't help but want to rip Jed's guts out anytime he touches her. Jesy, I-I just love her too much", and with that I break down in to Jesys arms.
