Chapter 15

Perries POV

"Perrie, please let me in", she says more of a plead than a command. I freeze at hearing her voice. "Jade?", I barely whisper. "It's me baba", she says, the loud music being blocked out by the walls and door of the bathroom. I reach for the lock on the door and open it. Jade instantly opens the door, leaning down and wrapping her arms around me, her hands gently caressing my back. I relax in to her, my own arms wrapping around her small frame. My sobs are muffled by her tight green dress. "Shh, its okay", she whispered in to my hair, making my sobs less constant.

"That was beautiful Perrie", she says pulling away once i've calmed down, and I feel my body start to fill up with hope. "Who did you sing it for", she says quietly, staring in to my eyes. I feel my drunken self get lost in them. "Guess", I barely whisper, too scared to say anything myself. "It was about Alex wasn't it", she says confidently. I feel all the hope I had dissapear, and I see Jade frown. "Wait, who was it for then?", she says , her hand resting on my cheek, wipping a tear away, and letting her hand stay there a few seconds before going back to her side. "Jade, I can't-", I say before standing up and running towards the door in to the crowded bar. This is too much. It's what i've always wanted, but now that something may happen, i'm noticing how unlikely it is to happen. "Baba wait!", she says, her hand grabbing my wrist, stopping me from running. She pulls me towards her, our faces inches apart. "You can tell me anything", she says. I sigh, leaning back on the sink. "I'm too scared Jade".
I see her frown grow, and she cups my face with her hands, sending shivers down my spine. "Please."

The way she says it kills me. "You. It was about you. I love you Jade."

I see her eyes widen and her face gets closer to mine. "Perrie, you're drunk", she states simply, before turning her head from mine, her back now facing me. I see her run her hand through her hair. "Just tell me who you sang it for", she says firmly. "Fuck Jade, it's about you. I've loved you since the first time I saw you. The past 5 years, you've been tearing me apart without even knowing it. Both when your with Jed and without, I get jealous, jealous that you'll never love anyone the way you love him. Especially not me". I feel weight instantly leave and return to my shoulders, 10 times heavier.

I see Jade freeze before spinning to face me, something in her eyes i've never seen before. "I don't understand... What about Alex"

"I used him to try get over you. It made it worse. It made me realize how much I love you, and how no one will ever top you."

Once the words leave my mouth I instantly regret them, but I see Jade get closer to me, our noses now practically touching. "I love you too Perrie", she says gently. I grab her face and try to eliminate the distance between our lips, but she places her hand on my chest, pushing me away. "Babe, you don't mean any of this. You're just drunk." I watch everything drain out of her eyes, and feel another bit of my heart chip off. "Look, lets go back to the hotel and we'll talk about this in the morning."
