Chapter 37

Jesys POV

Perrie sniffles in to the material of my tshirt as I caress her back. "S-she doesn't understand", she stutters. "She's just annoyed, you know how she gets", I say gently. At this Perrie jolts away, her slightly teary eyes meeting mine. "I'm fed up of her taking everything out on me", she says quietly. I try to think of something to say, but hesitate and end up just letting the chirping of the birds in the trees ahead of us fill the silence.
"She always over reacts and breaks me. Why me? I do everything I can not to break her, and this is how she repays me". Her words are full of sadness, breaking my heart slightly.
"That isn't true Perrie. She cares a lot, it's just sometimes her emotions drive her to do things she doesn't want to do"
"That doesn't make it right tho", she darts quickly. I sigh, seeing Perries point and feeling huge sympathy for Jade. It's obvious how in love they are, and they are the type of couple that kill when they're not together. I'm surprised by how well Perrie took it. She was upset but wasn't crying, and seemed a lot better than last time.

"Shall I talk to Jade?", I say. Perrie is now looking down at her nails and probably thinking. "N-no, just leave it". The funny thing is, me and Perrie both know that I definately will. I wrap Perrie in my arms one final time before leaving her sitting on the steps leading up to the house. I step in to the door to hear voices, probably from the lounge. As I step in I see Leigh sitting on Andres lap chatting and Jade sitting on the sofa, crying silently. I clear my throat and Leigh looks over to me. I point at Jade subtly and she mouths the words "i'm scared". I roll my eyes and walk over to Jade, wrapping my arm around her. She sinks in to my arms and tears stream down her face.

"I-is she o-kkay", she chokes on her words, almost as if the tears are drowning her. I rub her back. "She's okay", I say gently, not knowing what answer she'd want to hear. "Are you going to talk to her?", I suggest, making her pull away. "N-no, she needs time", she says quickly, her eyes flying to every corner of the room. I can sense how tense and nervous she is and I place my hand on her shoulder, making her flinch.

"Jade, relax yeah? It'll be okay". She tries to smile but it comes out forced and tears are still streaming out of her eyes. "Why don't you go get changed and take your makeup off". She nods slightly, running her fingers under her eyes, smudging her makeup even more, and she walks off to her and Perries room.

Once she's out the room and I hear the door to her room click shut I sink in to the sofa. "Thanks for the help Leigh-Anne", I say sarcastically. She looks at me and frowns. "Sorry I just had no idea what to say, especially as I caused it again", she says guiltily. "You can't blame yourself babe, what you did didn't cause all the things they said", says Andre, squeezing his arms around her stomach. "B-but, I made it happen", she says, a tear threatening to fall. "Oh god don't you start", I say, walking over to her and wrapping my arms around her and Andre, as I can't hug Leigh individually. I pull away and smile gently and she smiles back.

Perries POV

As i walk towards the loungue Jade comes flying out our room and she stops the second she sees me, our eyes lingering on eachothers. I feel guilt slash through me ah the sight of her. Her eyes are lifeless and red. Her hair is messy. I don't know why I feel the guilt, I don't know why I feel the urge to apologize, as I did nothing wrong. I stay a few more seconds, expecting her to say something, anything, but she doesn't. Her eyes simply start to tear up but I walk forward quickly. I don't hear her footsteps behind me, but I don't dare look back. I step in the room and see the football on.
"Who's playing?", I chirp, not wanting what happened with Jade ruin the holiday for everyone else. "Oh, Ill change it", says Leigh quickly, reaching for the remote. I squint my eyes and look at the screen and see it's Arsenal vs Manchester United.

As if it were planned, a close up of Alex appears on the screen. I small smile tugs on my face at his familiar, yet not so comforting face. "Leave it, I don't mind", I say, smiling. Jesy looks at me in shock, but I nod reassuringly and sit next to her, and get lost in the game. I mainly look out for Alex, and find my self realizing how much of a bitch I was to Alex. I used him, and I broke up with him on the phone. I never spoke to him since. I will text him after the game, apologizing. I never loved him how I love Jade, but he was a decent guy. Soon enough Alex shoots and the ball flies in to the goal and a spontaneous squeak escapes my mouth as I leap up, beaming.
"Why are we watching this?", says Jade quietly. My head flies around the room at her voice until meeting her hazel eyes. She's sitting on the individual chair. I feel my chest become heavy at the sigh of her. I also see Jesy and Leighs eyes on hers. I didn't even notice her come in the room.
"What's wrong with it?", I try to say casually, sitting back down, but the slight annoyance is noticeable.
"Well it's Alex", she says, each word getting quieter.
"And the issue is?", I say, leaning forward so I can see her. She gulps and stays quiet. I feel myself weaken at her scared and broken expression, buts it's not enough to get rid of the anger i'm feeling.
"Huh Jade? So i can't watch my ex on tv but you can still claim to date yours?", I say loudly, standing up. I feel Jesy grab my wrist and look at me warily, but I snatch my wrist away.
"So you can blow everything I do for you out of proportion and fight about it, make me feel like the victim and I can't watch a fucking football match. You can have the power to get Jed out your life but let me suffer, and I can't watch a football match!?". I stare at her in utter disbelief, not even her now teary eyes being able to kill my anger.
"I-I'm s-sorry", she chockes, a sob escaping her mouth.
"You can't fix everything with those words you know Jade, especially after not bothering for 5 hours". I slump down on the sofa and sink in to Jesys arms that are now around me, and Jade rushes out the room.
