Chapter 12

Perries POV

We got ushered out of the car and are rushed through many hallways inside a massive building. Soon enough we reach a massive room with a sofa and various cameras. "Go sit down girls, the interviewer will join you shortly", says one of our body guards. We all smile before following Jade towards the sofa. She sits in the middle, with Jesy sitting at her side, and Leigh-Anne sits next to Jesy, leaving an empty spot next to Jade. She smiles at me and I sit next to her, letting my body relax in to the sofa. I feel like interviews can be the easiest yet hardest things in the music industry. All you need to be is honest but not reveal too much. "God this is a quiet room!", says Jesy, her words echoing around the room. We all burst out laughing at Jesys comment. It is interrupted by a series of people walking in the room. Various men and two women. All of them but one stand behind the cameras and start to play with the equipment, while one of the women pulls a single chair from the corner to the end of the sofa where Leigh-Anne is sitting. She sits down and smiles widely "So girls, Im Eliza Clark and i'll be interviewing you today", she says happily. We all nod and I finally feel relaxed, knowing it will be an easy interview. "Okay girls, starting in 5,4,3,2..."

"Hello everyone, so today I'm here with one of the biggest girl bands in the world... Little Mix!"

We all smile and wave at the camera and direct our attention back to Eliza. "So how are you guys liking the states?"
"We are loving it! The mixers and general support we have over here is mind blowing!", I say, feeling everyone's eyes on me as I look at Eliza. When i finish talking I quickly look at Jade who's eyes are on me. "Also everyone is so so nice over here!", adds Jade, to which we all agree.

"So we love a bit of love, so we are going to go down the sofa and confirm if you are dating or single." I feel all the blood drain from my face. There's no doubt in that breaking with Alex was the right thing, but I wasn't ready for all the attention from the press Id get again. I feel Jades soft hand on my hand, and I look at her, her glance full of worry. "You don't have to do this you know. Just say you don't want to say", she whisper quietly in to my hair. I feel my heart fluster at her warm breath on my neck. I look down at her hand on mine and try to stop a massive grin growing on my face.
"I'm dating Andre Gray, a footballer"
"I'd rather not say at the moment"
"I'm dating Jed, from the Struts"

I feel my eyes fill with tears both with the mention of Jade, and the realization that she will never say Perrie Edwards.

I cover my face with my hand as a tear falls down my face. I feel Jades comforting arms around me and I wrap mine around her, feeling comfort. I hear some whispering around me and I feel Jades hand playing with the ends of my hair. I pull away to see Jade smiling at me. "You okay now babe?", she whispers, to which I nod.

"Perrie I'm so sorry, I didn't realize it would..."
"Don't worry, it's fine." I say quickly, smiling.
"Well girls, it was lovely to talk to you... Would it be convinient if you came back another day?", she asks, to which our manager rushed over and started talking. I stand up and see Leigh-Anne join my side, pulling me in to a hug. I pull away and smile at her, and then feel Jesys hand on my shoulder. "You okay Pez?", she asks gently, to which I nod. We all step out of the room in silence, our security guiding us to the exit and in to our taxi. "I'm so sorry I ruined the interview guys", I mumble, and I feel Jades arm wrap around my neck, sending electricity down my body. "Don't apologize Pez, I can't imagine how hard this is for you."
