* Calum's POV *"So when do you think we'll be able to go and get him?" I ask, turning off my phone and setting it down on the clear coffee table.
"Well, maybe next weekend? I mean, we don't even have a dog bed." Theo says from the kitchen.
Adrian and Nick both left an hour ago and now it's just me and Theo. He was in the kitchen, fixing dinner, and I was sitting down on the sofa, pretending to watch tv. "That can change. I just want to get him out of there by Thursday."
"I'm fine with that. I'm just saying, we don't have anything planned out." He says, washing a cup.
"So you don't care when he gets here?" I ask as he goes back to the stove and stirs something.
"What's his name gonna be?"
"I was thinking Louie." I secretly watch him from the corner of my eye. I watch as he has to stop once in awhile to push his glasses up or move his hair out of his face.
"It's nice. Why Louie?"
"I don't know. I just like the name Louie." I lean back on the sofa and yawn. It's Sunday and almost eight o'clock. I don't want to go to school.
It's almost September too, getting a little colder every night. I can't wait till Christmas break. "I like it. And he's a German shepherd?"
"Yeah." I say, standing up from the couch. I stretch and walk to the kitchen. I get behind him and glance over his shoulder. He tenses up and looks up at me.
"Hi." He says. I laugh and take a step back. "I think it'd be good to have a dog around here. I love dogs." He says, smiling.
"Yeah. I just wish we could bring him here now." I sigh and lean back against the counter.
"I do too. But we need to plan ahead first." He puts down the wooden spoon in his hand and he turns to me. I stare at him, mesmerized by his blue eyes.
I take a step forward and he looks up at me.
I have a plan. Instead of ignoring him completely, I'm gonna see who he wants more. But to do that, I need to show him how much I want him.
I tilt his head up and I lean down and kiss him. His fingers wrap around my wrist and he tries pushing me away but I don't budge.
Then, he stops struggling and he gives in. He steps up on his tip-toes and he kisses me back. I wrap my arms around him and pull him closer to me. He moves his lips away from mine but he doesn't pull back. "Calum, I can't. I'm dating someone."
I look down at him and smile. "It's not wrong if he doesn't know."
He blushes slightly and he pulls away. "It's wrong either way." I don't let go of him and he gives me a dirty look.
"Then break up with him." I pull his face back to mine and kiss him again.
"Mmm but Calum," he says against my lips. I let him pull back a little and he looks up at me again. "You know I can't." He says softly.
"You can. Just text him and be like 'Sorry I like someone else and he's super hot and I wanna kiss him so bad so bye'. It's not so hard." I smile and squeeze him. He shakes his head.
"It's not that easy. And that's not what I mean either." His eyes fall to the ground.
"It is. And what do you mean?"
"I mean, what will the people at school think? You'll lose your friends when they hear that you're dating a nerd. That's also a guy. I don't want to damage your reputation." He tries pulling away from me again but I hold on.
