"My what?" Jungkook asked blinking a couple times. His head was still spinning slightly and Jimin's confusing words weren't helping right now.

"Guardian," the elder repeated.

"Like a guardian angel?" Jungkook asked.

"Something like that," He said while nodding. "I'm just not really assigned to you for the rest of your life, I'm only here for the time being."

"What's going on? Why are you all chasing me?" Jungkook asked holding his head in his hands. He twisted his fingers in his hair from both fear and annoyance. He just wanted his normal life back. He had tried so hard to keep the angels and demons away yet all his efforts were in vain. He had to pick his steps carefully now. Whether he was surrounded by angels or demons, both could turn on him in a second, and it would be over for him.

Jimin seemed to notice the younger's troubles. He sighed and walked towards him, folding his wings onto his back so he could sit down next to him. Jungkook just watched his every step. Even though Jimin looked like a nice and innocent person, he knew better than to trust looks. Angels, with their comforting aura and incredible powers, had the strength to be just as deceiving as demons. Whatever they wanted, they could get, and Jungkook was now on that list.

He looked at the angel next to him. Without the wings sprouting from his back, Jimin almost looked like a normal human being. His skin was colourful with a slight blush on his cheeks. His eyes were dark yet welcoming and warm with kindness. His silver hair beautifully contrasted with his eye colour. Jungkook started thinking about whether he had ever seen an angel this beautiful. The answer was a simple no.

"You have powers which we wouldn't like falling into the wrong hands," Jimin explained. "You are one of a kind, Jungkook. Some people sense angels and demons because of mood changes or the feeling of being watched, but none of them can sense us like you," he added.

Jimin did everything he could to make Jungkook feel at ease, everything but using his powers. The boy still needed to be able to make the decision he wanted and he truly hoped Jungkook would make the right one. It would be a shame to see him turn into an enemy. It was up to Jimin to convince Jungkook to accept their help. Normally if people were the target of demons, angels would protect them, but Jungkook was different. Humans hardly knew an angel was following them around. They would simply protect them from a distance as soon as a demon became a threat. Jungkook, on the other hand, could see them. He had a choice. Either he would accept their help or he would refuse, that would be his final decision and his final fate.

"Why is that so important to you?" Jungkook asked in a quivering voice.

"Angels and demons can sense each other, that is both an advantage and a disadvantage, but an untraceable human with the same powers, that's definitely an advantage. You can sense enemies from a mile away without ever being spotted," Jimin explained. "The demons will keep you captive like a slave if they'll find you, they want to use your powers for their own war. We will protect you from them, but you have to accept our help."

With those words, it all came crashing down on him. Jungkook shivered in fear. The monsters he had been scared of ever since he was a child were real and they were coming for him. He had always known they were real, it was very hard denying it, but in the back of his mind, there was always that spark of doubt. Maybe he was just imagining things, maybe he was really out of his mind like his therapists had told him. Jungkook didn't even know what made sense anymore and what didn't.

He took a deep breath and tried to calm his mind. He needed to think rationally about this. Jungkook knew that if he would accept Jimin's help his life would never be the same. Angels would follow him everywhere, every second of every day. Still, if he didn't the demons would find him sooner or later. He couldn't run away from them forever, especially if he stayed in the same place as he was planning on. Both choices seemed wrong, both choices were wrong, but he had to do something.

Jungkook let go of his hair and sat up straighter. Only then did he realise how much he was shaking, how uneven his breathing was.

"Are you scared?" Jimin asked.

"Of course I'm fucking scared, demons and angels are fighting over me," Jungkook snapped at him. He quickly covered his mouth when he realised that he had just cursed in front of an angel. He didn't know whether it was a sin or not. Eiter way it was rude and a stupid thing to do. "I'm sorry," the human added in a smaller voice.

"It's alright," Jimin said rubbing Jungkook's shoulder in a comforting manner. "I'll just give you some time to process everything, I can imagine this is a lot."

Jungkook nodded. He felt like his life was crashing down on him. He could see the danger approaching and he was just asked to stay calm and walk on. He had to put full trust in a person he had never met before, above all someone he didn't trust. For all he knew, angels were just as bad as demons. Their calming aura, nice words and beautiful complexion could all be just a façade. Still, it was that or a certain death. He had no choice even though it seemed like he had.

"Alright. You can protect me," Jungkook concluded with a sigh. Jimin let a smile creep on his face.

"Thank you," he said. Jungkook just gave him a nod not changing his expression whatsoever. He wasn't exactly proud of the situation he was in. He just didn't have a choice.

For a few seconds, there was just an uncomfortable silence between the two of them. Jungkook looked at the numbers on his watch and sighed. He was late for his class as well. This day wasn't going as he had planned.

"Late for something?" Jimin asked eyeing Jungkook's watch and then his face.

"For class, yeah," the younger answered.

He would have to think of a good excuse on the way there. Namjoon was still in their dorm so he couldn't tell the teacher he slept in. All the teachers liked Namjoon, for obvious reasons since he was very involved with the university and the student association, and they all knew that he would never let his friend be late. Maybe he could tell the public transport got delayed? Jungkook quickly shook his head. If that was the case other students would be late as well.

"Maybe it's best if you stay home, at least for today. That will keep you out of sight," Jimin said. Jungkook thought for a second and then nodded. He wouldn't miss much either way.

"I do have a roommate who's still at home," the human quickly said once Namjoon came to mind again.

"I figured you might," Jimin said. He took something out of his pocket and handed it to the younger.

On his palm laid a small, silver chain with a metal feather attached to it. Jungkook carefully took it. "What is this?" he asked.

"It's kind of like a charm. I can turn invisible to the naked eye. If you wear it you will still be able to see me," Jimin explained. "That way your roommate can't spot me."

Jungkook nodded, opened the necklace and put it on. He looked at the angel beside him. The creature wasn't any different. Jungkook would just have to trust Jimin on this one. He'd find out if it worked either way once they would enter his dorm and face Namjoon.
