"ᴍʏ ʙʟᴏᴏᴅ""You," Yoongi spat out as soon as his gaze fell on the demon before him. The creature just stared back at him with his cold, black eyes.
"Oh look who it is, my favourite angel," Taehyung said in an almost mocking voice. He put his hands in his pockets, letting his gaze slide over the two men on the floor.
"Taehyung?" Jungkook muttered in awe. At the same time, Yoongi uttered a 'shut up'. Taehyung simply ignored him, putting his gaze on the younger human. Jungkook visibly shivered as he did so, feeling his cold eyes drift over his body.
"Hello, Jungkookie," the demon said. "Nice to see you again."
Yoongi just blinked a few times in surprise. "You two know each other?"
Jungkook could barely manage to nod, his muscles still aching and his body still jittery. "But you died-" the younger exclaimed.
He looked Taehyung right in the eye. He looked just the same as he did when Jungkook had left him. His skin was still pale, the dried blood on his head a painful reminder of what had happened. His neck had a weird bend to it. But that wasn't what Jungkook's noticed first. His black eyes seemed to pull him in as if they were magnets. He couldn't keep his eyes off them. Where at first he found comfort in dark brown, he now only saw a cold, black void. This wasn't the Taehyung he knew. His words only showed that even more.
"You'd be surprised what angel juice does to you," the demon simply spoke, his smirk growing.
"You're a sick bastard, you know that?" Yoongi spat. The demon just gave him a fake pout.
"Well that's not nice, how about some friendly conversation? How's the family? How're the kids? How's Hoseok?" the younger said, his words growing more malicious with every syllable.
Jungkook could only look on, surprised that Taehyung knew about Hoseok. It made him wonder what else the creature knew, what else he had been hiding all that time when Jungkook wasn't aware of his true nature. He obviously could see Jimin all that time, but what else did he know? What else was a blatant lie used to lure him in?
"Shut up," Yoongi said, clenching his fists. The demon noticed the small change in demeanour.
"Oh, sorry, sensitive topic?" he said in a sarcastic voice, moving closer to them. Yoongi did not move back one bit. He only pulled Jungkook further behind him.
"We're not here for you, old man. Come with us, hand Jungkook over and we'll let you live out whatever life span you have left," Taehyung offered, his voice suddenly turning serious. As he leaned against the cracked wall, Yoongi just chuckled.
"Why do I have to go with you? Scared Jungkook is going to pull his magic?" the elder said.
Jungkook didn't know how to react, except moving closer to Yoongi on instinct. He didn't even have control over what he did yesterday. It was all an accident. Adrenaline, fear and grief just kept building up until he exploded. He didn't want to hurt anyone. He didn't mean to.
"Call it a precaution," Taehyung said nonchalantly, but the implication behind his words was more than enough to make Jungkook afraid of all he was, of all the power he unknowingly held.
"Did you really think I'd just hand him over?" Yoongi asked. Taehyung's smirk returned to his face, this time with a dark twist.
"No, of course not," the demon admitted. "You know Yoongi, I do wonder something. Don't angels all have some kind of connection, or at least with your nestmates? Because I'm sure Hoseok can read your mind. He seeks salvation there, gives him some kind of peace."
