9~The Switch

Me and Brie are walking down the hall and I'm telling her about me and Grayson date last night

I hear something like and animal in the bushes so I go and look with Brie

We walking into Ethan feeding on some girl in the bushes behind the school

"Are you kidding?" I said to him and he turned around with blood on his lips

I run to the girl, feed her my blood and compel to forget what just happened

I turn to Ethan "Are you tying to get us found out" I ask him

If he keeps it up people will find out we are vampires

"I don't really care about anything anymore; it's like the weight is off my chest"

"Oh no" I say as I start to realize what he did

"Don't tell me you flipped your switch" I asked him

"What is that?" Brie asked. "Vampires have the ability to turn off and on their emotions. It's the one thing that holds us to our humanity. It's so quick to turn it off, it's like a light switch" I say to her still looking at Ethan in disbelief

"Listen I know you're scared of getting found out but I couldn't care less. But I do have this under control. Now if you excuse me"he rubs this thumb across his lip taking the blood off "I have a class to get to" he licks the blood of his thumb and walked away

"You think he has this under control" Brie asks me. "No in the slightest" I say as I walk forward and sees pile of bodies behind the bushes

I left class and Grayson came behind me in the hall way

"Hey" he saids smile

"Hey" I said back. He grabbed my hand. "Why do you always wear this ring?" He asked

"Oh uh my dad gave it to me when I was little and once I was able to wear it I vowed never to take it off" I said to him and he smiled, so did I

"Hey want to come over my place for dinner" he asked me. "Sure" I said back to him.

The school day is over and I walk to his house and rang the door bell. The door opens

"You showed up" Ethan says to me

"Where is Grayson?" I asked in a sigh of annoyance

"Oh he'll be right down, but in the meantime, come on in" he said and moved his hand for me to come in. I try to walk in but I'm stopped.

I was confused. Grayson had invited me in the other day so why can't I come in now?

"What did you do?"

"We aren't the owners of this house anymore"

"So you sold your house just to make me mad? Wow your common sense must've left with your humanity"

"No i just compelled someone to sign the papers. If you wanna come in just ask"

A woman with a blank expression walks in the doorframe

"Ethan what the hell are you-" "shh. Just ask"

I sigh. "May I come in?"

He smirks "was that so hard?"

He snaps her neck and she falls to the floor

I jump in shook

"You're insane"

I hear footsteps coming downstairs and I quickly step over the body

"Grayson" "Isabella? I didn't know you were here"
