49~I Know What You Did 3 Years Ago

Melissa's POV

"Melissa I presume? How's Kate?" "Dead. Technically"

"Tragic"

I handed him a note "read it"

Alex had been friends with Kate for a while now. She knew he was Isabella's brother but she never told him

He believed he didn't have a family

They met a long time ago. They would usually just get favors from each other so calling them friends is a bit of a stretch

The note I had given him was one that Kate left for me to deliver

He opened the note and read it

The note explained that she went to Mystic falls and why she went there. She told him about Isabella and how she was his sister from long ago

As I watched him read the note I saw his eyes get bigger and his lips part

He looked at me "she's still alive?" I nod

A smile appeared across his face

Isabella's POV

I slowly started to open my eyes

I saw that I was in a cell, alone lying on the floor

I looked around and it looked like a shed...a very big one

I heard a voice in the cell next to me yell "hey Jimmy D. I need to talk to you"

I knew that voice like it was my own

"Ethan?" I say. There was silence. "Isabella?"

"What were you doing here?" He asked "I could ask you the same thing"

"Someone stabbed me when I was leaving the party. What happened to you?"

I didn't want to say anything at first but I did anyway "Jimmy stabbed me with vervain"

He didn't say anything

"JIMMY" Ethan yelled and Jimmy came into the room with a gun in his hand

"Is there a reason why we're here?" Ethan says

"You know what you did" Jimmy says back to him

"Jimmy" he looks at me

"Please tell us why we're here"

He looks at Ethan. I could see the hatred in his glare

"He killed my family. When I came back I saw blood splattered on the walls and him sucking the blood out of my little sister then running off in seconds. I spiked the shots with a little vervain at the party last night to make sure and it worked. I promised myself I would find who did this and make them pay"

"What? No he-" I start but Ethan interrupts me "and what if I did? Huh what are you gonna do torture me behind bars? Do it on the inside like a real man"

Jimmy steps closer. "I want you to say it"

"Say what?"

"Say that you did it"

Ethan took a deep breath "Ok. Yeah I did it. When I had my humanity turned off I went on a rampage. I remember killing a family of 4. I remember how good their blood tasted"

I saw Jimmy looking as if he was about to cry, but instead he shot a bullet from his gun into Ethan's cell

"Ethan" I heard a thud and hoped that Jimmy didn't aim for the heart

He started to walk out but before he did he looked at me and said "I trusted you"

I looked back at him "likewise"
