4~The Dance

I approach the door and look at my phone making sure it was the right house

I was still a bit jumpy from yesterday but I couldn't turn him down

His face lit up as he opened the door

"Hey you actually showed up"

"Did you think I wouldn't?"

"Nah just hopin for it"

We stared for a bit until he said "uh come in. Brie will be over in a bit"

I walk through the threshold and he walks upstairs

We make it to his room and it's surprising clean. Cool pictures on the wall and everything

It smelled like him too

"So is like an annual thing?" I ask. He turns and looks at me for awhile trying to understand what I meant until he got it. "Uh yeah. Me and a couple friends usually hang out before every dance. Just working on homework and catching up on extra stuff so this weekend we can party" he chuckles

I begin to laugh but stopped once his door opened

I turned to see a figure in the doorway confused and angry at the same time

"You"

I scrunch my eyebrows, confused on how he can't be annoyed by my very existence

"You know her?" Grayson asks looking at Ethan. "From school" he replies

Ethan and I continue to have a staring contest. It was as if he wanted me to back down

But soon I got tired of it

"You know what Grayson I think I'm gonna go" "why?" "I told my dad I would do a couple chores before I left for the dance. I totally forgot. I'll see you there though"

I walk pass Grayson and slide pass Ethan. I was walking down the hall when I hear Ethan say "no it's fine. I'll walk her out"

I start to feel uncomfortable when I hear footsteps behind me

I turn around to see him

"What the hell are you doing in my house?"

"What the hell does it look like? Hanging out with my friend"

"I said stay away from him" "or what?" I step closer

He doesn't budge

"How can you have a problem with me if you don't even know me?" I question. He shrugs "I can smell it on you"

I closer I was the more I felt that same feeling when I met him

So I ask a bold question

"Do you know something?"

"Do you know something?"

I sigh "You know what, forget it"

I enter the school with caution

Since I had been alone for a while, it feels like the note is being reread in my head over and over again

I don't know where Klaus is nor do I really know what he looks like

All my father told me when I was younger is that Klaus was out for me so we ran
