The ride back was silent

I tried to make a couple jokes to lighten the mood but there was no use

Darkness follows vampires, but Isabella was the light that fought the darkness away

I hate to admit it but I knew that, Grayson knows that, even Olivia and Brie know that

Isabella's POV

"Tell me again why I can't go home" I say to Klaus

"Because there's many vampires who are looking for the white oak stake to kill me. My sire bond has been broken"

"Scared because everyone who you've ever turned is now out to get you? Not the Klaus I know"

"No, I'm never scared I have a family who protect me. And let's not forget you came here to get just that"

"Yeah but that was when I actually cared about family. I don't anymore, thanks to you" I say with a sarcastic smile

"Why can't you just use Hope to fight them off, isn't she supposed to be the most power baby in the universe?"

"No because she is an innocent little kid who I can't live without, you on the other hand wouldn't be so hard to let go" I roll my eyes

"Do you want to help me or go back to that awful town you call home?" He asks me. I sigh

"Who's first on our hit list?" I say, he smiles

Ethan's POV

I came downstairs to see Grayson slumped on the couch eating chips

"You can't eat away your feelings"

"I can try"

"I know this is hard for you but you can't live like this" "why? Isabella's gone" he stuffs his face with chips

"Technically she's not. She just turned into an emotionless version of herself" I joked. He didn't like that

"Plus you seem more down than usual. Like half of you is gone. I mean I know you guys were dating but it's not like you two..." he looks at me. "Oh my god you did. Congrats man" I said and tried to high five him but he dissed me

I sigh and look at him "Remember what she said to you? 'Bring me back' she wanted you to bring her back because she knows that you can. Me and you both know that's not Isabella, it's just the murderous vampire deep inside her"

"How am I gonna do that if she's all the way in New Orleans doing god knows what?" He asks. "We just have to let her come to us and in hopes that she doesn't do anything stupid"

Isabella's POV

I walk back into the house with blood covering most of my body. I had just got done ripping a vampire and their whole teams heads off
