17~A Change Of Events

I get up and get animal blood from the fridge

I walk back to then living and get a call

'Grayson'

I answer

"Hey"
"Hey"

"How are you...feeling?"

"I think I've accepted it" I didn't "It's better to take one live to save millions, I know that now"

"Good. I was hoping you would come with me to a festival the town is hosting today"
"Yeah, for sure, I'll be there"

"Great! Pick u up at 5? It starts early"
"It's a deal"

Once he picks me up we head to the festival

There was so many decorations. It looked beautiful

"Do all the festivals look like this?"

"Most of the time. This town really likes to celebrate, even when there's no occasion"

As we get something to drink I see Ethan at the corner of my eye

"And what's he doing here?"

"I tried to tell him NOT to follow me he thinks that he's "protecting me" when really he's just a very lonely, over protective twin brother"

"Why don't you set him up with someone? Take his attention off you"

"Because he's a player. He doesn't settle. And plus, he might eat her"

Ethan walks up behind us "and don't forget you have terrible taste in girls"

I glare at him as he smirks at me. I roll my eyes pick up my drink "I think I'm going to find Brie"

As I walk I hear Grayson say "really dude" I turn around a little and she Ethan give Grayson a shrug

Soon enough I found Brie

"Hey" "hi, how are you enjoying your first Mystic Falls festival?" She moves in a very excited, enthusiastic way

"It's amazing. Every is so beautiful"

"Well thank you" "you helped? Why am I not surprised"

"Oh come on. You know I love pitching in and helping plan events" we both laugh

As the night goes on I catch up with Grayson

As the night grows longer the red, blue, pink and yellow street lights begin to turn on

Around 8pm some of the towns council did a few speeches. It wasn't that important and I wasn't really listening

I feel a tap on my shoulder "hey, mind if I show you something really quick?" Grayson whispers

"Not at all" I say and he takes me pretty far away from the festival in an alley

I lean against the wall and cross my arms "what did you want to show me?" I smirk. He smiles and leans in

His lips crashed into mine. He breaks away "nothing. I just needed to get out of there"

He kisses me again and cups my face with his hands

After what only felt like a few seconds of us kissing I had to break away

Something wasn't right

He looks at me with concerned as he catches his breath "are you ok?"

"I don't feel right"

I feel myself fall to the ground holding myself as the pain grew and flowed through my entire body
