"I almost lost you," I whisper as a tear streams down my face. I sit on the edge of the chair beside Brandon's hospital bed, holding his hand.
"You'll never loose me," he replies weakly.
"That's cute, but Brandon, you almost died."
"But I didn't. I had to stay strong and fight for you. I'm not going anywhere."
I kiss his cheek and squeeze his hand. He smiles up at me and we stare at each other for a while. Even when he's covered in cuts and bruises his bright blue eyes sparkle and his smile comforts me.
"When do I get to come home?"
"Tomorrow morning," I say with a smile.
"Good, I'll finally be able to eat real food," he jokes and it makes me laugh, "It's good to see you smile."
I stare at him a little longer, searching for something to say, "I saw the necklace. Thank you."
"I saw it in a display window and thought of you. I had to get it," he explains.
"I love it."
"I love you," he says, again making me smile, "to the moon and back."
"I love you more," I whisper and bend down to kiss him.
"Callie?" I look up to see Lena standing in the doorway. Her arms crossed across her chest and her eyes wide.
