Friends suck. Everything's good for a while then you find out that you don't know them as well as you thought you did. I thought Wyatt was my friend. Now he won't talk to me. I don't even know what I did! So, yeah, friends are the best people in your life until you fight and it hurts like hell.

I've been trying to text him all day and I've had no luck. I called him a few times too and its going straight to voicemail. A couple hours ago I even tried his house and even though his car was in the driveway, there was no answer. He was fine yesterday; his parents are out of town, maybe he's just upset about them leaving? I don't even know if that makes sense. I'm so confused and I don't know what's wrong.

I sit on my bed with Mariana across the room on her laptop. I send him another text:

Wyatt please talk to me. I don't know what's going on and
I'm confused and a little scared. Text me back please.

Ok his phone is blown up by me and he hasn't replied to one of my texts? I throw my phone to the end of my bed in frustration and put my head in my hands.

"Boy trouble," Mariana asks.

"How'd you know?"

"It's obvious! That's how I react - no that's how every girl acts - when there's boy trouble."

Lifting my head up, I look at her, "Its that obvious?"

She nods with a small smile, "Who is he? He cute?"

"His name's Wyatt. He's a little cute but I don't like him like... That."

"Yeah, sure," she teases, "anyway, if you don't like him than what's the big deal?"

"He's my friend. Kinda. Well I don't really know if we're friends now 'cause he won't answer me. Anyway, he was fine earlier but now he's just.... Not. I don't know."

She slowly nods but by the look on her face, I know she's just as confused as me. My phone goes off and I jump for it. I frown down at it when I see that it's from an unknown number.

Good luck getting your friend to talk to you. I don't think
he'll be saying much for a long time. Don't take it personally,
not many people talk when they're unconscious.
                                                              -Liam.

My heart drops. Liam? Unconscious? Good luck? I swallow hard and run downstairs. Mariana calls and follows after me but I don't stop. I run into the kitchen to see the rest of the family. Everyone stares at me and I cry. Without saying a word, I head for the door and run to Wyatt's house. I hear their voices calling me but only Brandon and Mariana run after me.

I finally get to his house. I'm breathing hard and my heart is speeding. Mariana and Brandon catch up to me as I'm pounding on the door. Brandon tries to calm me down and get me to talk but all I'm worried about is Wyatt. Liam hurt him and its all my fault.

I go over to a window, smash it and climb through. I don't care what Brandon and Mariana think right now because they don't know what happened. Wyatt's the only friend I have and its all my fault that he's hurt. I search the house for him, calling his name and soon Brandon and Mariana are by my side.

We all see him at the same time. His weak body laying on the wooden living room floor in front of a glass coffee table. His long blond hair is covering his whole face but I know it's Wyatt. There's blood surrounding his head and a bit on the edge of the coffee table. I know what happened without having to physically be there to witness it. Liam pushed him but he said 'unconscious' instead of  'dead' for a reason. Wyatt's alive but barely.

Soon there's an ambulance and two police cars outside Wyatt's house. Brandon tells me everything will be ok but it's hard to believe, he could be next. All three of us get into the back of the ambulance and right when the doors close, my phone vibrates in my hand.

He got lucky. Next time I'll be sure not to be so
nice. Watch out and keep your boyfriend close,
             I'm not done yet!
                                                    -Liam.
