Many times, as I scroll down my Facebook newsfeed, I come across pictures of little boys and girls holding signs that say something about how they beat cancer. Pictures like those always make me smile and I silently congradulate them. Today Katelyn and I walked into my house after school, everyone else is already home. We already had a fairly good day. Anna sat with us at lunch, constantly saying how sorry she is for everything she's done.

I didn't think one day could get any better. I also didn't think that the sight of one boy holding one sign could make me so happy I cried. Until today, I never thought that bad things could end up bringing happiness.

For example, the start of a bully is heartbreaking, but when the bully shows his/her brighter side it's better than you could ever imagine. Just like the start of a fatal sickness is unbearable, and finding out someone you love so much has beat that illness cures your broken heart.

I jump into his arms, happier than I've ever been. He holds me tight for the first time in forever.

"You won," I whispered to him.

"I won because of you. I love you."

"I love you too. More than you'll ever know."

****************

After Katelyn went home at around 5:00, Brandon and I went to Our Place and stayed until it got dark. We watched the sun set together on the rock. He playfully chased me around the beach for a while. We simply sat and talked about, well, everything. This is by far the best day of my life.
