(Jesy)

Jade's sparkling brown orbs gleamed in the lights. I'd had the best day out since I landed in Georgia, it was so nice, heck I'd spent the rest of the day here actually.
I bought nike trainers, a nice light brown jacket, a new bag, a pair of red vans (Jade insisted), and a new beanie. Jade got two pairs of vans, a handful of bows, two pairs of braces, and those short shorts from the vans store.
"So you like the city Jes?" She asked me while swinging her feet in the air. "It's nice." I leaned back to lie down, seeing the beautiful effect the light gave off on the city, it shined a golden-color, making the city seem cozy and warm. We were sitting on the rooftop of this little romantic restaurant for no reason, just enjoying the view, we had placed our bags in my car then walked around the rest of the afternoon. We were going to go for dinner but deeming the snacks we ate neither of us were hungry so we agreed to this instead.
"Jade I can't thank you enough, this actually means so much to me, being here without the media, I can be in peace, no one's tracked me, I've got a wonderful friend, and a whole tour around the city!" I propped myself up on one elbow to see her. The petite Geordie was perched on a flat block in the roof, swinging her feet off the edge like the cutest little girl that she was.
"I don't mind, I've enjoyed it a lot Jesy." She told me, her infectious smile spreading across her face. "Have you been here before?" I was wondering how she found the restaurant, surely her boyfriend took her here. "Mmm, naw, just walked around, perched on the roof a couple times, haven't eaten there." She shook her head, my jaw dropped. What?! How could she not have a boyfriend!? She was so beautiful, how could she be single?
"Why are you suprised? To everyone here I'm the weird British foreigner that loves 'cookies' and bow ties too much for anyone's liking." Jade laughed making an air quote for 'cookies' while she spoke.
"But, I thought-s-since you're absolutely lovable and, just, amazing, you would have a boyfriend! Or something." I admitted still a bit suprised, but why did I say she was beautiful? She's just a friend to me, that was super cute and adorable and had tons of little things I was learning about her.
"That's nice Jes, but honestly, I haven't dated anyone here." She traced the edge of the rooftop with a finger. "Weeeell I didn't know now did I?" I poked my tongue out at her, feeling confusion still flooding my mind.
Jade, the cute Geordie from South Shields, that had such beautiful brown eyes, and long luscious hair that tumbled past her shoulders, the way her eyebrows crinkled in thought, how she laughed in the cutest way. Why was I thinking this?
This is what I thought about when I was with Perrie. I shouldn't be thinking about these things! She's a friend, nothing more. It's been a month and a half since I left, I wasn't supposed to start a relationship anytime soon, and yes, I still missed Perrie, but she would be fine with Leigh-Anne.
"Ey Jes? Whatcha thinking about?" Jade asked. "Oh-uh, I miss Perrie, a-and the group." I thought quick, fuck, I wasn't supposed to say that. Jade's eyes flashed, she nodded. "Oh sorry, I know you miss her." She said looking hurt. "Don't feel guilty, I miss them all, especially Daniel, but I've got you here with me don't I?" I tried to patch up my slip. She would think I was trying to have a one-time thing with her if I told her now. "I'm glad I can be here for you Jes, I know there's things you're not ready to tell me, but I will wait." Jade looked at me intently, her gaze filled with truth and honesty.
"Thanks Jadey." I pulled her into a hug. "Course Jesminda." She answered, hugging me back. We pulled away after a moment, I took the time to lean back against the rooftop to study the sky, feeling the cool night breeze tickling my cheeks, brushing through my hair.
"It feels so nice out doesn't it?" Jade asked.
"Yeah, it's so calm." I answered.
"It makes it seem as if I don't have soccer tomorrow." She blew a small strand of hair away from her face. I chuckled, she must've been a rather good soccer player if she was on the state team.
"When's your next game?" I wondered. "Wednesday at 8:00." She answered casually, leaning back and stretching her body. "Mind if I go?" I asked. I would love to see her play, and Wednesday was Jordan's shift. "Of course not! That would actually be nice." She blushed, looking down lightly at her feet. "Then I'll see you there Thirlwall." I decided, meeting her excited gaze. "Yay!" She clapped her hands together, how was it that she could be so cute?!
"Oh boy, we need to be home soon, my mam might start to worry or assume things!" Jade turned on her phone, it was 9:45 already, wow, had time flown by! "I've got an early shift tomorrow." I cursed while remembering. "We should go back." Jade agreed.
The both of us hopped off the roof, walking down the street lazily with out elbows locked together until we found my car. The drive back home was peacefully calm and quiet, with soft music being emitted from the radio. When we reached the house I went inside the garage and turned off the car, closing the port behind us. "Thanks for the ride Jes, tonight was super fun!" She bounced inside the house with her bags, I followed her closely behind. "No problem Jadey, thanks again for taking me to the city." I kissed her cheek, plopping my bags down in the living room.
I saw her blush slightly. "You're welcome." She smiled. "Do you want any food? Something to drink?" I walked into the kitchen, hearing Jade begin to laugh behind me. "What's funny?" I asked. I didn't do anything, maybe she put something on my face or my back or something. "It's just-you said it in a Scottish accent, and you didn't really notice." She giggled like a five-year old.
"Oh did I now?" I responded in my angry Scottish man accent, one of my personal favorites. "Yeah! Wow Jesy." She laughed. "Whatever ya little pickle!" I poked my tongue out at her and turned to fetch a drink out of my fridge.
"Oi! Don't judge pickles Jes, they're food." Jade defended herself. "But they're weird." I shook my head. "Whatever you say Jesminda." She decided and stood up checking the time, 11:00. "I've got practice tomorrow at 10:00, sorry Jes I'm gonna have to go, see you tomorrow yeah?" Jade apologized. "Ah course, it's fine baba, I've got to work the early shift tomorrow from nine till five." I waved it off feeling secretly disappointed that I wouldn't be able to spend much time with the petite Geordie. "Sorry baba, really, but I'll see you soon!" Jade pouted and hopped into my arms. "See you later then Jadey. Go get a goodnight's sleep." I wrapped my arms around her waist to give her a hug, she wrapped her arms around my neck; that almost shocked me as a pair of particular blue eyes flashed in my mind.
Perrie. She held me like that before.
"J-Jesy?" Jade's voice shocked me. I blinked, I knew it, it wouldn't be Perrie, then why does that feel so nice when Jade holds me? "I-uh, yeah?" I didn't know what to do or say I sort of drifted off for a minute. "You okay?" I realized I still hadn't let go of Jade, my arms were wrapped tightly around her waist and I was resting my head against her neck. "Sorry, I uh, yeah I'm fine, just getting tired! I'll see you soon yeah? Nanite." I stuttered, great now I looked like a complete idiot probably. "Of course Jes, goodnight love." She giggled opening the front door to my house. "Thanks again Jadey, I had an amazing night." I pushed my hair back from my face. "I did too, night Jesy." She then did something unexpected, she leant in and closed her eyes, pressing a soft kiss to my cheek.
A tingling sensation of fluttering blossomed in my belly, making me feel warm, the spot her lips had touched radiated with heat and possibly blush. I smiled at Jade once more, she blushed as well then walked across the street and onto her lawn, the gate sliding open easily once she got inside and then she waved at me from her front door. I waved back and closed the door once she was inside.
I turned around and rested my head against the cool wood of the door. The feeling of Jade's lips on my skin once again ran through my head, why did I feel so warm inside? Why had I felt that way when she touched me?
Naw Jesy you're such an over dramatic girl. I nodded, that should be it, I'm just reacting and still slightly missing Perrie. Speaking of the beautiful blonde my phone beeped. I looked at the screen seeing Leigh-Anne's picture come up with a FaceTime request. Should I?
I was tired, naw only an hour. I would be fine.
I hit 'accept' and waited. I drifted off in my thoughts just thinking about life until I sensed another presence. "BOO!" Leigh and Perrie's voices screamed. "HOLY-" I swooned rapidly under my breath climbing back onto my couch seeing the two familiar faces laughing at me. "Guys! Not funny!" I whined brushing off my bum, causing the two to continue howling in laughter.
"Sorry! The expression on your face was priceless!" Leigh squealed in delight. "Bastards." I poked my tongue out at the pair. They giggled mischievously. Eventually we all settled down and began to talk. Perrie picked up Daniel in her arms. I was so happy yet pained to see my family right in front of my but so far away, I reached out to touch Dan's face but my finger connected with the phone screen, reminding me they were all an ocean away.
"Jes you okay?" Perrie asked. "Fine." I pulled over a smile. I knew it wouldn't be the best, yet it would hopefully do.
"Alright, well I'm going to put Daniel to bed if it's alright yeah?" Perrie smiled at me. Leigh looked up at her, something flashed in her eyes but I also saw concern. "Just to bed?" Leigh asked. "Of course Leigh, I promise." Perrie softened up seeing the other girl and hugged her. I felt a small pain in my chest at seeing how happy Leigh-Anne was then Perrie turned and blew me a kiss. "Goodnight Jesy." She whispered. "Goodnight Perrie." I answered giving her my best smile and then Leigh shut the door behind Perrie and Daniel.
"Leigh, what." I was a bit worried about why she did that. "Jes, it's crazy over here." Leigh said after plugging in her earbuds. "What do you mean? How're you, Perrie and Daniel coping?" I brought my phone upstairs with me. "We're doing fine, but the public knows you and Perrie broke up now. Twitter isn't looking so well Jes, I'm not trying to kill your vibe but you should go check and now. You haven't tweeted anything since last month, when you left." Leigh-Anne had a look of worry in her eyes. I bit my lip harshly. Of course, everything would happen on twitter, that's not surprising but I still am worried. "Is it bad?" I asked. "I'd rather you see it than have me tell you myself." Leigh-Anne's gaze hardened a tad. My heart skipped a beat at that. It must be bad.
"I'll check later, but are you okay Leigh?" I asked, I could feel that she wanted to tell me something. "I-uh, some things are happening." Leigh-Anne said checking to see if Perrie was back, she wasn't. "I'm all ears, I won't be mad Leigh, I won't unless you hurt her." I stared at my best friend through the camera. "I could never hurt Perrie." She whispered. "Please tell me what happened Leigh." I practically begged. "I-Perrie kissed me." She spoke quietly.
"Oh my. Wow Leigh, I'm happy for you." I smiled softly at her, she smiled lightly as well. "So are you two a thing? Or no." I asked. "Whoa! What? Noo, it was probably an accidental coincidence but I mean-I erm liked it-but no, she wouldn't like me! Uh-I think." Leigh-Anne spoke rapidly. "Leigh!" I interjected. "You've got to do something! I know, she's my ex but you've got a chance, remember she loves you, and she may love you more than she loved me, you need to make your move." I spoke.
"I don't know Jes, I'm not sure if she or I am ready for this, you two broke up two months ago remember? That's not a very long time, but then again." She flicked a strand of her curly hair out of her face. "Beats me Leigh, you tell her when you're ready yeah? I'm glad you're taking care of her." I smiled. "Thank you Jesy, so anyways I've never heard your side of the story! What's new? Who's new?" She winked at the last part. "Leigh!" I gasped giggling lightly.
"Just asking, any hot someone's in your new life?" She smirked. "Well no, I'm not seeing anyone." I blushed at the thought, please I'm not that easy to fall in love with. "But Jesy, you're like walking se-" "Leigh!" I shouted giggling madly, my face as red as a tomato. "That's what the fans have said! I'm just stating a fact!" Leigh innocently raised her hands. We both began to laugh once more. "And the fans think I'm walking...sex?" I pulled on my beanie. "Yup! Maybe if you googled yourself you'd see all the creative nicknames they have for you!" Leigh chuckled. "No, that's weird, googling myself." I put it off.
"Okay, but I know there's got to be at least one person you're with!" Leigh-Anne caught my eyes. You would always give into her stares. "Fine." I sighed. "Yes! Who is it? Who!" Leigh bounced up and down excitedly. "She's just a friend right now." I admitted.
"Just damn tell me already!" Leigh squeaked, moments later an object hit her in the face out've nowhere.
"Ouch!" She winced. "Aye there be no swearing around the young one!" I heard Perrie's voice call out. "Sorry." Leigh giggled then turned back to me. "So? Info! She cute? Hot? Blonde or naw? She like nachos! Does she wear snapbacks?!-" "whoa Leigh. Calm down!" I giggled at my friend.
"Her name is Jade." I smiled slightly imagining the cutie pie known as Jade while she munched on biscuits, which is probably what she's doing now if you about it. "Aww! That's so cute! I think she sounds good already!" Leigh gasped. "She's a bit shorter than me and plays footie, she loves biscuits and lasagne." I blushed. "Aww you so do fancy her!" Leigh-Anne cooed. "Aww Leigh!" I hid my face. "Jesy's got a crush!" Leigh whispered. "Oh shut it." I groaned flopping over onto my belly, I couldn't like her so soon! It's been...around only two months, well that's not very short but it's not too long either! Maybe I do like her, but soon enough either it's going to turn into love or hate.
I decided to just go with it, I liked Jade. There. I said it.
"Okay, I've got a thing for Jade, I'll admit it." I faced Leigh-Anne on the screen, seeing her expression holding pride and excitement. "I was right!" She squealed. I laughed with Leigh, if only she knew, if only she know how this was hard to adjust to, but there was actually a few things that made it easier: my job and the pool, the food, and...and Jade.
