(Jesy)
The plane finally touched down in the Heartsfield Jackson International airport. I opened my eyes groggily seeing the inside of my beanie. I pulled it off slipping on my shades and adjusted to the morning light. I was rather jet-lagged though.
I pulled out my suitcase from the carry-on baggage and followed the other passengers inside to look for my big purple suit-case holding the rest of my stuff. I managed to pull it out of the conveyor belt toppling over onto the ground with it chuckling at my clumsiness before standing up and dusting myself off bringing it over to my other bag wheeling my things out towards baggage claim, there was no way that I was going to take the metro through the airport, too much people, I wasn't feeling like a people person today.
Soon enough I found the food court; my stomach grumbled; I hadn't eaten anything since yesterday. I had refused breakfast earlier in the morning.
I bought a coffee and some weird pastry called an apple turn-over, but I loved it! It was so so so so so so good! It was gone the moment I tasted it. I couldn't help buying a second. Then I walked down the airport with my big bags and heaved them on a trolley pulling it along with my small bag slung over my shoulder looking for baggage claim and the terminals.
I spotted the doors and walked towards them seeing it was pitched black outside oops, it's probably the middle of the night, I wonder what Atlanta will be like. My heart beat was in my ears; I stepped outside-wow. The warm summer air hit my face feeling surprisingly soothing. The terminal was still bustling with people and bags, I didn't really care. No one was picking me up, in fact I bought another car-someone parked it in the lot and had mailed me the keys the day before I left. I walked towards the lot once I figured out the map and went inside.
I looked around pressing the unlock button. A nice blue car's lights flashed in response, I grinned and opened the boot putting my bags in and went around to the left side of the car, since the wheel was on the wrong side, already missing the UK, Americans were just weird.
I backed out and reminded myself to keep on the right.
Soon enough I found my way to a cozy neighborhood in the city, thankfully I managed to avoid a crash. I headed down the road coming up to what I suppose was my new flat; I noticed the car had a garage monitor and tapped open; the garage slid open smoothly and I drove inside. The door closed behind me after I parked and jumped out of the car pulling out my bags from the boot and took out the keys. The lock popped open and I was greeted by a cozy warm smelling house. My new home wasn't looking that bad at the moment. I went upstairs with my suitcases seeing two bedrooms. The largest one held a bed; I grinned, it was a loft-style house, which meant the bed was extremely cozy. No wonder it was so expensive, but I guess this was the perks of being me. I opened my suitcase beginning to unpack my things and placed some things in the drawers of the nightstand and looked around seeing two pairs of doors. I walked over to the closest and opened it seeing a full-sized bathroom. Wow. I opened the second and my eyes grew wide as saucers. A walk-in closet. The thing was HUGE. I saw a note on the desk.
Hope you're comfortable here, decided to help you out a bit. We love you.
-the girls.
I sat on the bed with tears streaming down my face quietly. I couldn't believe they helped me.
I also saw a penguin on the bed with another note.
Dear Jesy,
We all are going to miss you-you're going to miss us too-I hope ;), anyways we got you a penguin because u know how you love them so much and u used to say I was your penguin, well you're always going to have us with u.
I love you,
Perrie xxx
I took the penguin in my arms and cried, letting it out once again, it smelled of home, of my friends, my brother and Perrie. I ended up crying myself asleep in my clothes.

I blinked-what in the name of parrots?!-"C'mon! Last day! Don't be late!" Someone shouted while I got up and went to peek outside. A school bus opened it's doors just as two high-schoolers ran into the bus, a blonde boy and a ginger-haired girl. Whoa! Was that possible! I haven't seen much people with red hair before! My head ached; I groaned, I still have jet-lag. I watched as the bus left and then saw a green cooper pull out of the flat right in front of me and drove in the same direction as the bus. My eyes widened in shock, the flat was ENORMOUS! Well, I didn't know for sure, I didn't finish exploring mine yet but I'm pretty sure the flat in front of me was probably the largest in the whole community. I looked at my new phone-yups they had a slightly different system here as well. It read 7:20, ooh, they were still in school!
I wonder what are the standards here. But it's too early, I need to sleep. I have lots of time.
I took off my jumper leaving me in my tank top and sweats and cozied into my bed with the penguin falling asleep as soon as my head hit the pillows trying to ignore the buzzing ache in my head.
