"Congratulations!!!" Vincent gives her a very tight bear hug right after the doctor removes the IV on the back of her palm. It has been almost a week now since she was confined. They've been through a really rough times. She was sick, he was mad
they ARE in love...
No. That is too soon for Gabby to admit. She's been trying not to think of it. Not to feel what she's feeling for Vincent, but if truth be told, she is starting to fall for him.
She's starting to get addicted to his stolen kisses and tight embrace like this.
"I...c-can't breathe..." she tries pushing him but not seriously pushing him if you know what I mean. Well, she doesn't really want him to let her go but at the same time, doesn't want herself to give in and embrace him as tight.
Playing hard to get...?
Yes, that's what it is.
"Sorry..." he smiles as he looks at her face, his arms still wrapped around her.
"I'm just so excited that you're no longer sick." He kisses her nose making her smile as butterflies puts up a riot in her stomach. A smile she hid right away as he lifts his face away from hers and look at her again. She clears her throat after and looks at the doctor and nurse who so patiently looked after her.
"I want to say thank you... for being so patient with me..." she says sincerely making both of them smile at her.
"I want to thank you..." she looks at her nurse.
"For putting some more sense in my head." She reaches out her hand to him which he took smiling.
"Any time, Mrs.---Dr. Walton." He replies shaking her head.
"I'm no longer a doctor... just call me Gab."
"You're still a doctor... with license or not, given how much care and love you have for the children in the orphanage... you're still a doctor." He smiles and Gabby could only look down on the floor.
"I hope though, that one day you can wear your surgical gown and gloves again." He adds making Gabrielle look up to him and could only smile.
"We would love to have you here as a resident doctor, Doctor Walton." The doctor adds tapping her shoulders. Gabby could only smile sadly at that. Much as she wants to be in her surgical gown again, she knows that is just not quite possible... not with her father's manipulation. Not now with his company being under her and Vincent's wings.
Vincent could notice the change of her expression and the glint of tear starting to form in her eyes. He knows what she is thinking, he can feel her pain. And for that, all he can do is pull her closer and kiss her temples.
"Thank you... so much. I really appreciate that and everything you've done for me and for my--for Vincent." She almost addressed him as husband. Not that she hasn't! But not in front of him! She addresses him as "my husband" only when he's nit around, which is silly. But then again, she doesn't want him to be big headed... not just yet.
"You're very most welcome, but there wasn't really much that we did actually. It has been your husband who saved you really." The doctor says smiling at Vincent this time. Gabrielle looks at Vincent who is just smirking at her with a proud face before intentionally showing her the still bruised part of his arm where they took the blood from.
"It's still bruised and sore..." he whispers making her roll her eyes at him.
"I also still feel weak sometimes..." he continues as if talking to himself.
"Oh, don't make drama..." she says trying not to smile at what he's doing.
"I'm serious, I still feel weak sometimes thinking of how much blood I had passed on to you..." he is now putting the back of his palm on his forehead, making their audience chuckle at him.
