"I, Gabriel John Davis, leave all my assets and liabilities to my one and only daughter Gabrielle Ralph Davis - Walton effective from the day I die in the condition that she stays married to Vincent Kopp Walton. She shall fulfill her duties as the President of Davis Holdings starting from the very first day I die. She will have 30% of my shares in the construction firm Davis Construction, 15 % for my son in law Vincent Kopp Walton and 10% to my most trusted comrade Dimitry Thompson. I am giving the power to my trusted friend and Lawyer Atty. Francisco Morio on executing and making sure that my last will and testament will be followed as I wished. In the event that my daughter and son in law divorce 2 years after their marriage, all of my wealth and shares will go solely to my son in law, Vincent Kopp Walton. I believe in his vision and legacy and I would entrust him the life of my company. My daughter will have all the inheritance from her mother and can only stand a chance to inherit my wealth if she ever gives birth to a child who will be the heir of all Davis Holdings. Has she not fulfill any of these, she will have the 20% shares of her mother and can work as a paid employee in the company if she wishes to.
Vincent Kopp Walton will then be the Vice President of my company and will work under my daughter's rule while they are married. But in the event that Vincent Walton decides to get married, he will lose all his inheritance and all of it will go to the different charities supported by Davis Holdings.
To this end, the only chance that my daughter and son-in law could assure the future of this company is by staying married and creating a family together.
May this message be their souls well."
That was what the last will and testament of her father reads.
With tired looking eyes, Gabrielle just looks at Conrad Walton who is sitting opposite atty. Morio who has handed her the letter after receiving her order for her divorce to be finalized.
She just tiredly folds the paper again. Slowly bringing it on top of the table in front of her.
"Gabrielle... think about not just the future of the company your father has built for you, more than anything else, think about your future..." it was Vincent's grandfather who is speaking. With that being said, she shoots him a deadly glare before pressing her lips together, readying herself to speak... but just like the previous days that passed, she just chose to remain silent and instead, she just draws his vision to follow every movement of her eyes that travels to look at the bruises and marks his grandson left on her alabaster skin.
Vincent's grandfather follows her line of vision and flinches, as his eyes land on her wrist...
"Don't do this Gabby..." he kneels in front of her wheelchair to hold her hands.
"I don't care about your father's wealth. I wouldn't want Vince to inherit what isn't his. It may be true that your father and I forced both of you to marry, but that isn't just pure business. Your father wanted to find someone who could take care of you just like I wanted to find Vince the perfect woman he could have the family he's always been missing... don't do this Gabby. Speak... talk to him... listen to him. That boy has done a horrible thing but..."
She pulls her hands away from him as she reaches for the last will on the table and throws it across his face as her tears fall.
He wants her to speak to his grandson?! He wants her to listen to him?!
Why?!
Did Vincent consider doing the same for her?!
NO!
He didn't give her a chance to speak! He didn't consider listening to her explanation and instead, he'd beaten her to death! Ripped her and made her into this!
