Chapter XL - Fountain Kiss

Gabrielle popping out of nowhere to the business meeting this morning regarding the business unit they are about to open in Germany had gotten him hyped up and excited. The heated moment they had in the office shortly after the contract has been signed is another thing that keeps him smiling to himself all day like an idiot even when he's in front of tens of the employees in one of the biggest hotel property of Davis Holding that just opened in London. Gabrielle herself is attending a full list of errands today.

While he, is visiting the hotel for a site inspection with a very high and positive energy although he couldn't deny that he just wants the day to finish so he could go home and spend the night with his wife at their now home in the North of London.

"Mr. Walton, there is actually a filming going on in the infinity pool of the hotel. You might wanna see what's going on with the campaign and marketing department before we head for lunch?" Says one of the top directors of the hotel.

Vincent just nods at the man.

"Why not." He says as he follows the director to what seems to be an indoor paradise on the infinity pool area of the 5 Star hotel they are in. Another property being managed by Davis Holding.

The marketing people acknowledge his presence right away and pauses the filming to discuss a few things with him. He's in the middle of the "meet and greet" with the PR and Mktg Director when his attention was caught by a very tanned, slim and tall lady approaching them.

Cathy.

She didn't even bother to cover her two-piece covered body with anything else as she walks towards them.

"Vincent!!!" She exclaims excitedly as she suddenly embraces him and gives him a peck on the lips which he was quick to deny, making her dirty lips land on his cheek instead.

He could feel the eyes of everyone on him as his godforsaken ex of a hooker tries to make a scene with him in his own hotel.

"What a lovely surprise to see you here today! I didn't know you'll be here to---watch...filming." She says as her finger plays with his necktie, making him more disgusted with her.

"Y-You know, Mr. Walton, Cathy?" Asks the gay director who is raising an eyebrow at the model.

Cathy jokingly hits the director's hand as she giggles.

"Of course, Vincent and I are...old friends..." she says looking at him knowingly. The director just looks at Vince who has a grim expression written on his face now.

"And by old, she means, OLD..." someone shoot him right now! Vince wishes as he hears his wife's voice out of nowhere again. He turns around and sees her walking regally towards them with an expressionless face.

He couldn't help but smile at his own thoughts, is she a mushroom or something?! She seems to be just popping up whenever he's in trouble.

"Bella..." he whispers as she gets near him finally, only then did she smile before she tiptoes, kissing his lips tenderly. Making him automatically wrap an arm around her tiny waist.

"What a surprise to see you Gabby!" Exclaims the director before Gabby smile at him and kiss both of his cheeks.

"How have you been? I'm sorry about your dad..." he says gently rubbing her arm for which Gabby just smiles drily. It isn't so hard for Vince to tell that she's still so sensitive when her father gets mentioned or when she's reminded of his passing as he sees her eyes glistening with tear.

"You guys look really good together, I'm so jealous! You're here to watch the shoot with the hubby?" Asks the director again, excitedly looking at Gabrielle's face and his. Cathy just breathes through her nose with matching rolling eyes.
