Chapter XXXIX - Hips Don't Lie

"You're on your own Mr. Walton, you may have 15% of the stocks, but we're on a voting system here. If the panel and major stockholders vote for the cancellation of the new property in Germany, then we will cancel it... you can't stand alone on this fight." The old man, one of the greedy shareholders who is obviously not pleased with the Walton Group taking over the Davis Holding says as he sits in front of Vincent during the VVIP meeting happening at that moment.

They have been debating whether the prospect property in Germany will be feasible. "The W Empire" short for The Walton Empire is a business center his grandfather and Gabriel Davis have long been planning to build in Germany. One of the deals they have spoken about before his marriage to Gabrielle. It has long been planned, all they had to wait for is the merge of the two companies, Davis holding being the major financier of the proposed business. The merge have long been done, all they need to do now is to start building the empire... but with him standing alone for it versus the combined 45% shares of the other shareholders who are all obviously eyeing to take the position and biggest share of stocks from his wife, he is already getting stressed that this project won't push through. If it's just about him, it's fine. But this is about his and his grandfather's vision. This is about Germany too. The project will not only be profitable for the company but will also provide thousands of jobs for the country.

But right at this moment, the shareholders don't care about that anymore. Everyone is turning their backs against him now that Gabriel Davis is dead and Gabrielle is not giving a fuck about her father's company.

With 15% shares versus the 45 percent shares of these snakes... Vincent could only sigh as he looks at the man holding another 10% of what is supposed to be Gabrielle's share. He needs this old man's support. That 10% is actually part of Gabrielle's inheritance, but her father took the part away from his last will. Gabrielle can only have the full 40% shares on the Davis Construction which is a branch of Davis Holding if they could provide her father the end of the deal in his last will... A condition he has not discussed with her yet. Not even discussed by her father's lawyer to her for the reason that she just vanished away from their eyes day after her father's burial. Again, not giving a fuck on her father's last will.

For now, Gabrielle has 30% shares on the Davis Construction which will be conducting the building of the business unit they are prospecting in Germany. Plus his 15% cut from the supposed 55%shares of Gabriel Davis after marrying his daughter, they could have at least 45%, it's at least a tie with this bunch of greedy snakes. But with Gabrielle continuously ignoring these issues, not attending anything and just basically throwing her power to these idiots, all he could do now is sigh and massage his temples.

This project needs to happen!

"Too bad, Mr. Walton. But this project is not for Davis Construction... we cannot finance the business unit. Of course you can continue to do so as you wish, but unfortunately, you cannot have our support with just you 15% shares versus our 55%..." says one of the worst shareholders in the group.

"55% you say Mr. Kane?" The old man, Mr. Thompson, the holder of the 10% share of Gabrielle suddenly speaks.

"So far, you have 45%... I haven't given mine to anyone yet..." he continues as he holds his hands that are clasped together in front of him.

"I believe in the project. It will be profitable for the company... I'm giving my vote to Vincent." He smiles kindly at him but the other gentleman just tauntingly laughs a single laugh.

"Even so Mr. Thompson, you only have 25% now in total, still 20% behind our votes..."

"Mr. Kane, you must be forgetting that Gabriel has an heiress who is holding most of the share..."
