He is patiently waiting outside the door as he anticipates what is about to come. With high hopes and excited heart, he lifts his hand again towards the doorbell to ring it once again only to stop midway when he hears the low creaking sound coming from the door frame as it slowly opens.

Vincent breathes hard as finally, the door reveals the very woman he has been looking for in the past two and a half years.

"Bella..." he whispers her name he so misses calling as their eyes meet for the first time in a long time. His with so much longingness and hers...
with an obvious shock.

And FEAR.

The widening of her eyes and the way she gulps as her hand that is holding the doorknob shakes made Vincent's heart aches and his feature soften as he puts his hand on the huge antique wooden door, stopping it from slamming onto his face.

"Bella please..." he takes one step forward and he sees her shaking in so much fear. He frowns as she looks at her left and right, gripping on the doorknob tighter as she tries again to push the door that he was holding.

"Bella I just want to talk... I'm not here to hurt you... please." Another step and she breathes through her mouth, her hand letting go of the doorknob she is holding in fear of him.

Vincent stops his tracks and just stares at his ex-wife. She is trembling in fear now! And with the amount of fear written on her face, he could only feel his eyes getting misty.

It has been almost three years and her reaction towards him is still the same as what she had after that night.

With sympathy and regret he could only stare at her as tears begin to well up in her eyes. Her beautiful face that didn't age a day is now contorted with so much fear and anger altogether.

It took him almost three years searching for where she hid herself expecting her to be healed while she was away, but seeing her now finally, he realizes she's still as wounded as that night when he gave her the worst physical and emotional pain a husband could give to his wife. That night when he ripped her soul with nasty accusations he himself found out weren't true on that exact same night when he realized he was the only one who had her... body and soul.

Just a few nights ago, when he met with Adrijan whom he never thought would give him a call so suddenly, all he could feel was excitement that finally, he has a clue on where to find her.

"You think you can change the aftermath of what happened in the past?" Adrijan downs the shot of tequila in one go as he smirks at Vince.

"How can I when nobody gave me the chance...? I love Gabrielle, with all of me. Whatever I did, I know there is no valid excuse for that and I have been rotting in hell for it... but I love her... too much." He downs his shot as he hisses. He has been drinking awfully in the last three years.

"Gabrielle is doing fine right now... she seemed as if she's healed over the years... but I know better." Adrijan nods at the bartended for another drink before he looked at Vincent.

"There is an Island called Île de Laurant in France and there lives an isolated heiress waiting for her prince charming that could break the spell she is trapped in..." he looks at the shotglass intently before looking at him.

"I shouldn't be saying this to you. But you have to see for yourself the results of what you did in the past... living there like an isolated prisoner isn't Gabrielle's life... she has more in life than bitterness, fear and isolation...take her out of her shell." Adrijan fishes for his wallet and places a hundred dollar note on the counter before tapping his shoulder once and living him with opened eyes.
