CARLEE'S POV
Nakatinggin ako ngayon sa dalampasigan habang dinadama ang simoy ng hangging nagmumula sa dagat. Tanaw ko ngayon ang papalubog na araw at ang kulay kahel na kalangitan.
Isang yakap mula sa likod ang nakaagaw ng atensyon ko.
"I miss you! Where have you been? I been searching for you!" Miguel said with his soft voice.
Nasa resort niya ako ngayon sa Batangas I think I should tell him the truth. Miguel is a nice man what he did to me and to Jacob makes me feel thankful for having him when I don't know what to do in my life.
I know it sounds like I just used him. Thats why I have this guilty feeling. I don't know the right words for him.
Humarap ako sakanya at tinanggal ang pagkakayakap niya sakin.
"Miguel I have something to tell you." His smiling face turn to a serious face.
"What is it babe?" He try to sound normal but I can feel something in his voice.
"I want you to know that Joha..." "Babe please can we talk that some other time because I have a surprise for you!" hindi ko pa natatapos ang pangalan ni Johan ay bigla na niyang pinutol ang sasabihin ko.
"But..." "No more buts." Pinigilan uli niya ang sasabihin ko at agad tinakpan ang mata ko.
Dahan dahan niya akong pinalakad at mayamaya ay tumigil kami. Sobrang tahimik ng paligid. Yakap yakap na ulit ako ni Miguel mula sa likod.
"Surprise!!!!" Sabay sabay na sigaw ng mga kamag anak ni Miguel. Halos lahat sila ay nadito ngayon others are from other country kaya tunay na nagulat ako na nadito sila. They are all busy persons thats why its really important the reason why they are here.
"Please babe what ever you want to tell me not now, not even. Wag mo akong ipapahiya huh sa harap ng mga kamag anak ko." Ang mga katagang ito ang binulong niya sakin bago siya kumalas sa pagkakayakap.
"Guys please don't stess her huh remember she's pregnant." Sabay sabi niya sa mga kamag anak niya na mukhang excited ding makita ako.
How can I say the truth now all of his relatives are here they are also been so good to us, how can I break their heart? Tinanggap nila kami ni Jacob nangwalang pag aalinlangan kaya hindi ko sila kayang saktan lahat.
"So hows Jacob Carlee how come you did not bring him with you?" Antie ni Miguel. Sobrang nacucutan sila kay Jacob kaya gusto nila laging isama ko ito.
"Sorry antie may pasok po kasi ngayon si Jacob its his first day you know Jacob is very excited to go to school thats why I cannot let him be absent." Tumango tango siya dahil sa sinabi ko.
"So Miguel when will be the wedding your not getting any younger. Anhin ko si Carlee she's still young eh how about you?" Si Uncle naman ngayon ang nagtanong.
"It will be next month." Miguel replied.
"What sobrang tagal naman niyan can we have it fast?" Apuradong sabi ni antie.
"Oo nga Miguel baka biglang mauntog pa si Carlee bigla kang iwan." Pang aasar ni Marcus ang pinsan ni Miguel.
"Well you know here in the Philippines so many process to make." Paliwanag ni Miguel. Hindi na ako komportable sa ganitong usapan lalo nat alam kong walang kasal na magaganap.
"Miguel why don't you go to America next week and have a civil wedding first there then next month continue your grad wedding." Mommy na ni Miguel ang nag suggest.
"I think that is a better idea mom! I can't wait to be married to her." Agad naman sinabi ni Miguel.
"You book a flight tomorrow and inform all your relatives so that they can go there. Finally Miguel will be married. I'll talk to Chermon to prepare everything."
His mommy looks so happy saying all these things.
"Miguel we don't need to rush all these things." Sabi ko ng mahinang boses kay Miguel pero sure akong rinig ng lahat.
"No Carlee we want you in our family that's why we would like you to be part of us. Please don't say no with all our plans." Mommy ulit ni Miguel ang sumagot.
I dont know what to say. Hindi na ako nakapag salita lahat kasi kanya kanya silang batohan ng mga idea para daw sa civil wedding namin ni Miguel.
"Excuse me. I just have to answer this call."
Pag papaalam ko sa mga kamag anak ni Miguel.
"Hello?"
~"My god Carlee how can you answered your phone just now I'll been calling you for almost 4 hours. Pinaalis mo pa ang driver pagkahatid sayo jan. I thought something happens to you. Pinayagan kitang pumunta jan kasi you told me na uuwi ka din how come pinaalis mo ang driver paano ka uuwi?
Pag kauwi naming Manila nina Johan I asked him if I can talk to Miguel he says yes with one condition and that is he will join me. Hindi ako alam kong hindi ko makakausap si Miguel ng ayos pag nadiyan si Johan and besides today is Jacob's first day in school his very excited I cant let him be disappointed.
Pumayag naman si Johan ng nakita kung gaano ka excited si Jacob pumasok. Jacob even ask him if he can bring him to the school and fetch him so no choice talaga si Johan kung hindi ang ipahatid ako sa driver.
"I am sorry Johan. I am still here in Batangas I can't go home today."
~"What? Why? NO!!"
"Johan you should listen to me I need time to talk to Miguel! Nothing will happen to me don't worry. I will go home soon. Please take care of Jacob!"
~"Why do I have this feeling that your gonna leave us?"
"I'm not don't over thinking. You know I love you. I always do. Please dont bother your self to come here I will go home I just need a time to talk to Miguel and I think this is not the right time. "
