TWENTY TWO

Mabuti nalang bakasyon nila Mia ngayon, hindi ako mag-aalala na baka magkita kami ni Yael. And besides nagbakasyon ang mag-iina sa New Zealand. Hindi ako nakasama kasi I still have work sa Uni.Nagtuturo rin ako ng mga irregular students. I don't have a so called vacation.

I'm on my way nang biglang tumirik ang sasakyan ko, "Sh*t" I muttered.

Okay naman ito last week bakit naman ngayon pa nasira, magpapa-exam pa naman ako. And I needed to submit the grades by tomorrow, so kailangan kong matapos ngayon. I checked my car, kahit papaano marunong akong tumingin ng kotse, pero hindi ko kayang i-repair 'to.

Then a red car suddenly stopped,bumukas yung bintana, "Need help?" kung sino yung taong pilit mong iniiwasan s'ya pa talaga yung lagi mong makikita.

Tinignan ko lang s'ya, I'm not sure if hihingi ako ng tulong sa kanya or.

He parked the car.

"Oh this takes time," he said isang tingin lang n'ya sa sasakyan. "If you want ihahatid na kita, tatawagan ko nalang yung kakilala ko to fix your car" he offered me.

Hindi ako makaimik, the last time na mag-kausap kami was rather unpleasant.

"You know what, nevermind, if you don't want my help or anything, I won't bother you" he suddenly said, is he mad? "Sana hindi nalang kita sinundan dito at sana hindi nalang ako naghintay ng anim na taon to finally talk to you again" aalis na sana s'ya pero pinigilan ko s'ya. Hindi ko alam kung saan ako humugot ng lakas ng loob at niyakap s'ya mula sa likod.

"I'm sorry" I said with my voice shaking,"I'm so sorry" I started crying, all the feelings I'm keeping inside are finally coming out. He turned around and hugged me tightly. He kissed the top of my head.

"Shh" he hushed me.

"I should've at least try to fight for you, for us, sorry kung naramdaman mong hindi ka worth it. Mahal na mahal kita, sobra, sorry kung mas pinili kong masaktan tayo para sa tama, ayokong pagsisihan mo na ako ang pinili mo at hindi ang anak mo"

"Hindi ako ang ama ni Caleb" nagulat ako, "Apparently Ali had an affair with her colleague, noong nasa Italy sila, though it's not cheating, she lied about the truth." he revealed, "Nalaman ko ang totoo before she gave birth kaya lumipad ako agad dito at hinanap ka"

So that's the reason, kung bakit hindi na rin nagparamdam si Ali. Gustuhin ko man magalit ngayon kay Ali dahil nagsinungaling s'ya hindi ko magawa kasi she chose to reveal the truth bago pa man sila magpakasal ni Yael.

"But I gave Caleb my name, because his father's an a**h*le" he added

"Nakita mo na ba s'ya?" I asked, magkayap pa rin kami nag-uusap.

"Yeah, once. The moment he was born, I had to be there" he broke the hug, "I flew back here right after I signed his birth certificate, because that's also the day when I finally got the lead of your whereabouts"

"But how'd you know na nandito ako sa Australia?"

"Ali knew you went here, pero hindi n'ya alam to where exactly"

"I'm sorry, it must have been so hard for you to find me" umiling s'ya at ngumiti

"Hindi ka naman kasi basta basta lang, you're the love of my life, na-realize ko na kaya mo ginawa 'yon ay dahil mahal mo kaming lahat. Lalo nga akong na-fall sa'yo, kasi sobrang bait mo, you're the most selfless person I've ever met."

"I pushed you away but you keep coming back to me, how am I supposed to counter that kind of love?"

He chuckled, "Just say you love me too"

"Ha?"

"Just say it"

"I love you so much-" he kissed me
