Chapter 32: working it out

*Your POV*

Awkward silence filled the air as we were eating our food. I couldn't even dare to look at him.

After we were done eating I took out my wallet as the waiter came with our check. But as soon as I was James was already punching in his number with his card in the slot. Geez this guy. 

I sigh and put back my wallet in my pocket. Then me and James thank the waiter and leave a tip and go outside of the restaurant and into his car. We both sat there is silence as he started the car and drived to Stefani's house. 

I sat there thinking about the time me and James fought. I remember hating for what he did to me but...a small part inside of me said "I still love James". Just like how I was feeling right now as I was sitting in the passenger seat of James's car.

I look over at James and started to admire his looks and the way he was so focused on the road.

Am I having feelings for him again?

As soon as James pulled up in front of the house I wasn't expecting what was going to happen next.

"So..you want to come inside?" I say avoiding eye contact just staring at the ground. But I kind of didn't want him to come since it would just be more awkward.

"Its fine but....I wanted to tell you something." he says and you slowly look up and he was staring right at me with innocent eyes. I quickly look away since I was blushing red.

"hey...look at me." he says and me eyes widen and I once again slowly look back at him...then. Lips. He started to kiss me and my eyes widen in shock. I started slowly kissing him back. His soft lips were pressed against mine and I missed them so much.

A second later me and his lips were pulled apart. I gasp and try to catch my breath and I look up at him and he was smiling and I started to as well.

"Look (Y/N)...I miss you...like miss you allot." he says then blushing bit and I smile even more. I'm glad he feels the same.

"Just remember that." he says and next thing you know there was a knock on your window next to you which startled you and made you jump. You put your hand against your chest and see that it was Stefani that knocked and you flick her off which made James laugh but made Stefani roll her eyes.

James then unlocks the door and Stefani opens the door to talk to you.

"Whats taking you guys so long?" She says and I look over at James then back at Stefani.

"Um. I was just about to head out." I say then smiling at James and he nods.

"Oh ok. Cause I was about to head out but you haven't responded to my texts...but then I see you here." She says and I say goodbye to her and she closes the door. I look over at James and he was sitting there quietly.

"Look. I had a great time but Stefani is probably waiting for m-" as I was about to almost finish my sentence a pair of lips where planted on mine once again and my eyes widen in shock but I kiss him back.....

I miss James.
