Part Twenty-Two

Harry pulls me into his side tightly, making me know I am safe, but I literally am sick to my stomach knowing that in less than an hour, he is stepping into the ring. The old abandoned building he brought me to a while ago comes into my vision and I look up at Harry, his jaw clench as he stares at something in the distance.

My eyes peel off the beautiful boy I call mine to see the blonde brothers, their menacing builds seem inferior to Harry's, his more superior to the two. My hands grip Harry's shirt tightly and he pulls me into the building, flipping the bird to the boys before walking in after me.

"Beth, this is Jonah, my trainer," he tells me, shaking hands with his trainer. Jonah extends his hand towards me and I grip it gently, his pearly smile looking at me and his bright blue eyes looking at me.

"She's stunning," he tells Harry, Harry's hand gripping mine and pulling me to him.

"And mine."

I smile into my jacket and Harry leads me down a hall. I look at all the intimidating men around me, my height at least making me a foot to a foot and a half shorter than them. I have never felt smaller in my life.

My hand is tugged into a room and Harry shuts it behind him. I look up at him and he smiles, pressing a kiss to my lips.

"Everything is going to be okay," he whispers, his hunched stature allowing me to look directly into his eyes. I nod and wrap my arms around his neck, burying my head into the crook and breathing him in.

"I believe in you Harry. So much."

He wraps his arms tightly around my back and stands up, causing me to be slightly lifted off the ground. I laugh and he kisses the base of my neck.

"Follow Paul and don't leave his sight. I can't have you leave me again."

I nod and he lets go of me. He points to the door and I see a huge man over there, his muscles huge and shirt tight. I look at Harry and he smiles and nods. I peck his cheek one last time and walk to Paul. I would put him in his late thirties, early forties. He guides me out of the room and watches me closely as we fight through the massive amounts of people. This must be a bigger fight than I thought.

"He's got this Beth," Paul tells me. "I have known him since he started. He's a machine. And since a few weeks ago, he seems more motivated; all due to you. He's earned a lot of mentions because of these few weeks, trying to fight to prove that you are the only thing he wants and fights for. The boy likes you."

I smile and he tells me to stand in a small spot, only a few people there including Gemma and another girl.

"Beth! Oh my gosh!" Gemma exclaims, nearly knocking me over.

"Hi," I laugh, hugging her back.

"You have no idea how much Harry's been talking about you. He is like a lovesick puppy over you. I have never seen him so open about anything."

I smile and she lets me go, introducing me to her friend, but my mind seems elsewhere as I continue thinking about Harry. I excuse myself and they nod, beginning to talk to each other. Something is said over the microphone and I can't make it out, my mind literally jumbled with the thoughts of Harry getting hurt.

"Hey Beth," a voice said behind me. I turned and faced Jake, but luckily Paul was right behind me.

"H-Hi."

He smiles and I walk into Paul's arms and Paul looks at him, saying multiple swears at him to get away, eventually doing it, but turning and smirking at me.

What does that man have in his head?

"There is three minutes until the fight."

I nod at Paul, his words only causing my heart to ache even more. I don't think I can watch this. Paul's massive build guides me to the back of the stadium, just so I can focus on the ring. I sigh and grab my phone, quickly checking as the time winds down.

The massive bell rings in my ears as I watch Keaton roll onto the ring, looking at his brother. They whisper something and Jake's eyes meet mine. My panic starts, mixing with the nerves I already have, knowing I potentially can get hurt by him.

My attention is soon darted towards the curly-haired boy entering the ring, the familiar tattoos on display. Multiple girls giggle to themselves, the new sight obviously beautiful and hot, but I know that he's all mine.

The ref talks to them and the whole time in doing so, Keaton has his eyes on me, Harry's on Keaton. Harry's nostrils flare and the bell rings, the ref calling fight and Harry swinging at the unaware Keaton. My eyes shut, watching Harry beating him up, not a sight I want to see.

"Beth, he's got him." Paul's voice makes me slightly open my eyes, seeing Harry pinning Keaton to the ground. The bell sounds and Harry gets off, winning the first round. Keaton looks absolutely pissed and stands to his feet, glaring at my sweaty boy of pure beauty. The bell signals the next round and that's when I flinch, experiencing Harry getting punched in the cheek then the stomach. I hunch into Paul's shoulder, not wishing to see him fight.

"I can't Paul, please take me outside."

Paul nods and leads me outside, enough to hear Harry groan and Keaton yell. Once out in the hall, my body is enveloped in cold and Paul stands next to me.

"He's going to be okay. I've seen this kid from day one. He's fighting for you Beth."

"I know, I just don't want him to get hurt. I hate seeing him get hurt."

Paul nods and I sit on the floor, my head in my hands, my breaths slow and my concentration on trying not to cry. I didn't know it was going to be this hard, watching him do his job.

"You know, if it helps you cheer up, Harry told me that he wanted to spend all night with you. Just to let you know he's not going anywhere and that he would do anything, and I mean anything for you. You are his saving grace Beth. He's had the worst life any kid could have, and still hasn't found the light, but when he's with you or talking about you, he lights up."

I look up at him, fisting my jacket sleeves and wrapping my arms around my legs, bringing them to my chest.

"He's never been involved with a girl and coming from experience, men hate losing girls. We get more attached than women do sometimes. The fact that you gave him a chance, or chances, means you care about him more than you think. And the fact that you don't like seeing him hurt, probably means more to him than he will ever admit.

"Beth, you are the best thing that's ever happened to him."

I smile and he does to, standing up from his crouched position. "I am going to check on things for a second. I will be back."

I nod and grab my phone, staring at a picture of Harry I took when he wasn't looking, laughing hard with his eyes closed. He is so beautiful; I just want him so much. A few moments later, Paul walks back and sits next to me, grabbing his phone and turning it on. A picture of a little girl pops up and I 'aw' unthinkingly.

He smiles. "It's my baby girl."

"She's so cute."

He grins and turns his attention back onto his phone. I flip through instagram and twitter, waiting for the fight to be over. My heart clenches every time I think about him, remembering him getting punched.

I wait for almost another 10 minutes before Jonah comes out and looks at me.

"He wants to see you."
